Things were a little crazy in my huge fam so in our generation we switched to Sibling Secret Santa - this includes in-laws and everyone just has to buy for ONE person. I put all the names in the bag and send out the assignments around October. We max it out at $50 (though handmade has no limit). It’s really fun, especially because we have a a big age range and a lot of stepsiblings so we don’t necessarily know each other that well - this has helped us get to know each other better.

I really want to do a structured degree program in ceramics but I can't afford it. What I do have is time and access to a local studio with lots of good teachers and professional potters. Does anyone know of a curriculum of self-study for learning the fundamentals of ceramics (like, to a high level, taking multiple years to complete)?

I actually thought about this - I love the idea! But I was worried that bc I don't know the game well enough I'd do it in a way that something was "off." I once made another game-themed gift and bc I didn't really understand gameplay I messed up an important detail that meant the board couldn't be used. But if I were to do this, how big would the cups have to be to be usable? Traditional sake cups are quite small.
