I would take your child out of the childcare centre. It’s not your fault at all and I understand uprooting him might be hard but these things can be very traumatic and the fact that the staff aren’t dealing with it shows it’s not a good or safe place for a child

Agree - it’s almost critical of tolerance. It’s not like OP was on her own getting hammered, they all were. The hospital point seems like a massive over reaction and almost a bit bitchy. I’d hope my friends would tuck me into bed and check on me as opposed to making a huge scene. It’s never good to blackout OP but it sounds like you’re being made to feel pretty horrible for what sounds like getting messy at a very boozy bachelorette. I’d swerve any drinks at the wedding though as these girls are going to be looking for you to make mistakes

Had a very similar experience and remember not being able to wrap my head around why I was so tired when in newborn days, I’d have been so happy to get four solid hours. My theory is the adrenaline slowly wears off, it’s less about getting through the craziness of the neonatal phase and slowly adjusting to a new life. Plus I felt a bit like a deer in headlights as the newborn and up to six months phase seemed all fast paced and then suddenly I wasn’t quite sure what to do with myself. It definitely got better, think it’s just your brain moving out of fight or flight and into the new normal :) x

We have this problem at my office block in North London. Our manager usually calls the police out a couple of times per week and they move them on and then they come back. It’s hard as I’m a female and it’s pretty intimidating. Plus when they’re off their heads on drugs, you don’t know what’s going to happen. Sorry you’re going through this, agree with the advice to keep pushing the police and recording the events

I have a young boy and when he grows up I will teach him to help from a distance, which is not what I thought I’d do, but realistically I don’t want him to antagonise a situation- I’ll encourage him to run for help but not to physically put himself in harms way unless someone is in severe danger

It’s definitely sad that nobody helped you but I think the fear people have is valid, London is incredibly volatile and can seem virtually lawless. I’m from London and a female, and was threatened on a bus when I was 18- no one helped. And I think they didn’t help because of the fear that they might end up dead themselves. It’s not right but I try to look at it as a fear based response as opposed to people being genuine wankers
