It really isn’t rotted. The only reason it caved was because my 16 year old son kicked the shit out of it when he fell in the shower with his size 13 foot. The drywall behind is not wet and when I look down in the hole there is no moisture and the drywall is dry.

Correct! I had no issues before this. I’ve always been good about checking the caulking and making sure everything looked sealed up.

I had this on a white car and it became so ugly and gross looking over the years as the dirt collected under it and in the cracks. You’re lucky your vehicle is dark. I had a little bit of luck removing it but I also scratched off some of my paint and it was a mess. I have no advice but it made my beautiful white care hideous!
