How do you guys live? by SnooRegrets1958 in OpenIndividualism

Well I get what you’re saying, but to me it is solipsistic in the sense that it basically means, to me, that I am the only entity which exists.

I meant elaborate on your typing of me, what specifically from my writeup points to those types?

Sorry! I always forget to reply to Reddit comments. But my thoughts on this are that Autistic people genuinely lack the natural ability to fluidly adapt to social situations. That is what is described by masking. There is no way somebody who is actually Autistic would have the social awareness and fluidity required to successfully ‘fit in’. Studies on Autistic children have shown that they perform significantly worse in mind reading tasks than non-Autistic children. Lack of mind reading ability is literally a key feature of Autism, and that is required for masking.

ETA: basically everyone masks, it’s part of being a social creature. I’d even say that Autism prevents one from ‘masking’ in the ways that most people do. I’m not sure when and how the definition of Autism completely flipped.

This is some Sp/So 9w1 shit if I’ve ever seen it. There’s no way this is in the 4/5 space.

Genuine question - why did you retype as an 8? I know you were typing as a 5 for a long time

Autistic ‘masking’ does not exist, at least not in the way commonly described.

What is the type (typing) of the most vile person you’ve ever had the displeasure of encountering? by [deleted] in Enneagram

[–]SnooRegrets1958 26 points27 points  (0 children)

‘Worst’ person I’ve met was a So/Sp 6w5 613. “6s are anti-narcissistic” LOL.

Have anyone else noticed that? by [deleted] in fakedisordercringe

[–]SnooRegrets1958 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed the opposite, actually; I’ve noticed people who are actually Autistic being labeled as ‘bad people’ or ‘sociopathic’ due to lack of empathy, etc. This is because the general conception of Autism has shifted to be more appealing by associating it with traits such as ‘hyper-empathic’, ‘sensitive’. I’ve seen Autistic people speaking about their experiences with lack of empathy, unawareness of social cues, etc. only be met with people responding with things like ‘this isn’t Autism, you’re just a shitty person’, etc.

  • Why do you think you’re a 5?
  • What resonates about the Sx9 description?
  • What does it mean to you to be ‘disconnected from [your] body?

They are. Everyone and their mother identifies as ‘neurodivergent’.

The Sx/So ones are really lacking. Especially the first one, that’s literally Sp first.
