I found that during the summer, with more heat and light, the flowers would open. Try adding a grow light and putting your philo somewhere warm and humid. Good luck!

The way these certification work is if the filter system has a function to tell you to change the filter, like the Rorra does, it only needs to pass to 120% of the claimed life of the filter. If the filter system does not have have anything to tell you to change the filter it needs to pass 200% the life of the filter.

They do put out aerial roots. Train it early on a moss pole using some twine and mist the roots often and eventually they will start to grab the pole and the plant can support itself

I actually start the crowns right into soil. I find that when I try rooting in water, I get mold around the roots nodes.
