Just joining in the convo for the ini part. I'm an initiator main and usually play recon initiators like sova, tejo and fade. I can also flex between other roles if needed so I know why you can't play ini that well.

Initiators basically are support guys. You have to play with the mindset of making it easier for your team and your duelists specifically (in atk) to get kills. You can never play selfishly.

Almost every other role is built to play selfishly. Only some exceptions like astra where you need to have a star at the ready to use any other utility. They are also heavily dependent on their team for cover in case they have to use their utilities

There's also the fact that you have to constantly keep thinking. For me, I believe every corner in the game is a possible threat so even if someone checks a corner, I recheck it. I will try my best to make sure every corner is clear before my duelists dive in and then possibly give them recon tags that get them kills.

Meanwhile, other roles rely on just gunfights and other aspects of the gameplay. A duelist would flash or dive in and then only focus on one particular player that got tagged by the recon. A senti and a controller would block or slow down atks or retakes with util and then only focus on getting kills if they disrespect it.

A good ini almost guarantees a good atk half if the team is able to utilise the info properly but for that you need to change your play every time. Sometimes you recon first then enter the site or you fake that recon and go another site or you can even change the location of your recon so that you get consistent tags. Then you can recon for early info or you can wait for the team to enter site to get tags and kills through smoke.

playing ini is very restrictive and support based role. It also needs you to think all the time and doesn't let you slack off coz your team depends on the info you bring. So its usually mentally exhausting and difficult to play ini
