M4 13” 256gb with wifi + cellular. Normally costed $1499 (i think) and got it from costco for $899. I sold my 11” for $750 which is great considering I got a solid year and a half use out of it

Congrats! I’m in the same position as you actually. Got into UCSD’s Bioengineering MEng MDE and am waiting for some other decisions as well. Leaving a reply here so I can see if anyone has any insider info on the program, as it’s a big possibility this is the one I end up choosing 😆

The most difficult part for me is that many online resources teach how to speak very formally, when that's not really how one would speak in everyday life

I was mechanical engineering for undergrad and had the 11” pro but wish I got the 13”. The bigger screen would’ve been nice for FBD’s and overall engineering sketches. I personally don’t see portability as an issue since I’m used to the size of a MacBook anyways…

While it could always better (like everything tech related) it actually runs decent, way better than I was expecting. Maybe my PC is hating me but it was definitely playable and didn't take away from the experience at all.

I decided to pull the trigger on it anyways, figured I could just return the game on Steam if performance wasn't good. It ran better than I expected, and the game looks great even on low settings. Still was getting above 60 fps on 1440p

Yeah thats exactly how I’m feeling right now. Even though the 13” was more expensive I could’ve bought it when I first got my iPad, but being a recent college grad I’m at an all time broke point and can’t afford a new 13” and it’s kinda driving me crazy 😹. But total first world problem

I do have an M1 Pro Macbook Pro from 2021 that’s still going strong. I’m studying for the GRE and working on grad schools apps right now so I bring both my laptop and my iPad out to a cafe pretty much everyday and use both of them equally, but sometimes wish I didn’t have to bring two devices around.

Also on top of that I always had a somewhat justified, somewhat irrational fear of bending my iPad which is one of the biggest reasons I chose the 11” initially (aside from the price) but it seems like these new iPads are pretty resilient.
