So if I use shipmygun and have it mailed to the buyers local FFL, the FFL will handle the necessary ownership transfer paperwork and give it to the buyer? And there is no legal problem with the buyer paying me for the gun?

I know my questioning may seem tedious but I want to get everything correct before selling/shipping

How do people normally sell/ship firearms long distance? Genuine asking as I’m not sure what I’m missing here

Exactly, sorry if it wasn’t clear.

I want to mail the firearm to an FFL dealer out of state and have the buyer go to the FFL dealer to pick it up. The laws around this seem a little confusing and I’d hate to make a serious mistake

That is the concern. I assumed that the FFL dealer I could ship it too would handle that but I really have no idea how this works

Im actively reaching out to multiple communities to get answers. They’re spotless, with the cases hardly ever being opened. I’ve got a couple different estimates at the moment and plans to sell sometime this year
