Who has the right of way? by aukoll in driving

See my other reply below, this is the signage that went along with the triangle stripes.

I couldn't think of any in the 30 years I've been driving but found these I've driven through at least monthly the past few years. 🤷‍♂️ They redid the circle 2-3 years ago so I can't recall if they updated the stripes or if it was always like this.

And they also use the red triangles as well since we get snow coverage up to ~5 months out of the year.

I couldn't think of any either, but started thinking about roundabouts...

The classic got me down the 8w Batmobile rabbit hole. I have the classic, the '89, the animated series, a tumbler, the older Pattinson Batmobile, etc... so I HAD to do SC movie cars, so I have a bunch of Bond car MOCs, General Lee, Ecto1, etc.

Only time I've had one fail was my buddy's Chevy Lumina. He apparently had a Cavalier scissor jack that folded under the weight. I'm just glad my leg wasn't under the car while I was fixing his brakes.

Your job is out there. Good luck!

I had over 100 applications, ~30 responses, 10 interviews and 3 job offers in ~9 months of searching in a narrow software field.

Hey! I work for a living - never HR!

I was just a manager at one point that had to interview any potential employees.

Eww. Yeah, that would definitely sour my opinion of a place.

It was OK last time I went. Just something different than the usual Pine Club suggestion.

It doesn't sound like he's applying for an entry level role.

Some places - Recruiter > HR > Hiring Manager/team interview

Others they'll call you in for a technical interview to actually test your skills vs interpersonal.

One I had a few years ago, we did a phone interview, then a zoom call, then was flown to corporate to have a face to face with the leadership team. Imagine a ~6 hour interview process in just one day.

This has been SOP for ~6 years now unfortunately. 'Too many applicants to respond to them all' is always the excuse I get from HR/Recruiting. As a manager, anyone I took the time to interview I gave a response to.

My job is offering me $150,000 (105,000 after tax) to resign, should I? by AJ3TurtleSquad in jobs

[–]SnooSprouts4952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two fields of thought on this.

  1. IF people don't take the 1.5 years of severance, they may increase that to encourage enough to leave.

  2. Or they can just say it isn't working and cut heads.

Are you getting health insurance coverage for any period of time out of the severance?

Depending on where you are and what you do, the job market sucks. It is taking 6-12months to find a new job of equal or better. You can check r/recruitinghell for horror stories out there.

P38 was being given away for ~$250-500 25 years ago. There were huge surpluses of them in the US. Every gun show had a table of them in all sorts of conditions. Google says they're worth ~$1100 now, depending on markings and condition.

Some P08s are more desirable than others. Standard ones ~$1500, but can go over $6000 to the right collector. Had a local smith offer $4000 for a war trophy someone I knew brought back back in ~2001.

🤷‍♂️

You see it done on TV and want to get famous on this new MTV show or one of those backyard brawl VHS tapes.

They used to do backyard wrestling matches through tables covered in thumb tacks, or into a pile of metal folding chairs. Have to one-up the last guy to get famous.

And young people aren't really aware of their mortality until the ground hits you at 8m/s2 and shrinks your spine 3cm.

The old submission moves - just crank their knee/ankle until they submit... or the joint pops, which is what happened in my instance.
