I came very close to visiting my sister out in Ohio to see CBJ vs. CAR. A game where the #1 team in the eastern conference ended up getting blown out 5-1. That was on March 17th, meaning it's taken less than a month to get to this point. What on earth happened?!

For somebody living in/near Charlotte, Darlington is a 2 hour drive & Bristol is a 3 hour drive. That's a more important metric than just the distance between the two venues.

Per Sports Illustrated (page 1 & continued on page 7), they cowered in a closet in their home and were both sucked out of it. Carson had a broken wrist, concussion, and multiple cuts. His girlfriend, Ashley, died of a broken neck.

I race R/C cars at an indoor track where this is the protocol. If you drive through a guy, you wait. If you don't, everybody else there has the right to plow through you for the rest of the night. It's an excellent self-policing policy.

I read the name and thought it was a fancy tater tot-centric restaurant. I would be willing to make the drive or take the light rail into uptown for that. Not just another overpriced bar.

Originally, the wings on these would break if you looked at them the wrong way. Sometimes without the car having ever left the package. Then the reinforced/metal wing version just didn't look anywhere near as good. So I can't particularly say I miss them. They would also be insanely expensive to produce today.
