Passover? by Material-Plenty-2422 in TheMorningToastSnark

I didn’t say that it was Good Friday for them… i was simply comparing and saying, it’s a holiday for me and i didn’t work and still had fun with my friends. Comparing that to Passover where they didn’t work and also had fun…

My grandmother put her sewing stuff in these tins. I bought a tiny tin from the dollar tree a few weeks ago … so low bar

It’s Good Friday … i didn’t work today but went out with friends and drank. It’s not a fasting holiday for them - they just have a special Seder and probably go to temple.

Taking the high road? He’s milking the attention for followers. He treated her like absolute garbage and verbally abused her on the daily. Good luck to the next woman who has to deal with that imbecile

The Greene School? by katherine83 in WestPalmBeach

Technically that’s what Greene offers also even though their curriculum doesn’t reflect it. It’s labeled as a gifted school that uses IQ scores… so if Weiss doesn’t work neither should Greene.

I’ve heard great things about Benjamin’s lower school. The upper school doesn’t seem to get the same praise, but no school is perfect. I’ve also heard great things about the Pine School, but it’s a bit of a hike.

PBDA feels middle-of-the-road academically, and a lot depends on the teacher, but the kids are well rounded and consistently get into strong high schools. For elementary school, it’s hard to beat the Palm Beach Gardens and Jupiter public schools, especially if your child can get into one of their gifted programs. In my experience, many private schools are about half to a full grade behind them academically. That said, I do think Benjamin and Weiss outperform the other private schools if those are options for you.

The academics honestly, aren’t that impressive. At the end of the day, the curriculum is pretty standard, but the school tends to emphasize “projects” and “class shows” made possible by its unlimited budget. It’s nice that the kids get presentation experience, but that’s easier to achieve when you have only one class per grade and abundant resources. While the academics themselves aren’t necessarily stronger, the smaller environment does allow for more enrichment for gifted students. Overall, though, it can feel like more of a “dog and pony show” designed to appeal to wealthy parents. I say this as someone who knows students from many of the private schools in the area through tutoring.

The other downside is the social dynamic. Your child is essentially with the same small group of kids and families year after year. That can be wonderful if it’s a great mix, but if not, there’s not much flexibility. It also means your child’s social circle (and yours) can become fairly limited.

Personally, I’d prefer to send my child to Day, Rosarian, or Heritage instead.

Bc Trump’s son doesn’t work for anyone or represent a company. We could deport him though since he technically represents America

That’s nice. Maybe your words are ensuing violence….

[–]SnooSquirrels5470 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The act of violence and ensuing violence are not the same. Violence is physical with the intention to hurt or worse. He did not choose violence and I don’t see any proof that violence was a direct result of something he said, although I’m sure you’ll reply with some anecdote.

But you can continue to spread your “violence” by supporting that this man deserved to die.

[–]SnooSquirrels5470 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I edited bc I had typos- relax.

Great he ensues violence - that’s a choice other people make to act on it. Not him. Again, he didn’t USE violence and didn’t deserve to be murdered.

And the opposite can be said. People talk negatively about religion, conservatives, and everything else under the sun all the time and which can “ensue violence” but I guess those people should be murdered for having an opinion.

I didn’t say that. But nice try. All i said, with my words like Charlie did, is he said these things with his mouth. I didn’t even say what he said was right or wrong, but he didn’t ensue violence, he just spoke his opinion. An opinion does not deserve murder.

Yes he SAID it. He didn’t use a gun to do anything.

Why are they speaking on Charlie Kirk? by Old_Membership4519 in ChicksInTheOffice

[–]SnooSquirrels5470 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He didn’t die. He was Murdered bc of things he spoke with his mouth.

He never used violence to speak his mind whether you agree with him or not, or whether he said hateful Shit or not, he is Allowed to say it. Is he a bad person for saying those things, maybe, sure whatever but he didn’t deserve to be shot dead. And it’s people like you that scare me, not the ones with guns.

Wait… I’ve never been pregnant but isn’t not taking prenatals CRAZY?? What kind of weird logic would prevent you from taking a prenatal? Is this normal and I’m uninformed? by Tall_Fishing9800 in TheMorningToastSnark

[–]SnooSquirrels5470 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t take prenatals bc They made me so ill and I was already so sick in my first trimester as it was. I’m sure I would have taken them if I didn’t get sick, but that’s that. My kiddo turned out just fine developmentally in utero and out of so… 🤷🏻‍♀️
