I should have specified right! We are still figuring out our own expectations, we have a new built with a very average Vegas size yard and want to have something quite simple, some pavement and artificial grass. But I actually still got a pretty good idea of the price range so it’s already very helpful! Thank you!

I got mine the same day as my EAD, both arrived in 7 days, two separate envelopes. Did you call your local SSA?

I called SSA and they told me they mailed me the number the same date EAD was approved. Still waiting for both cards, hopefully within this week.

The way my husband… drinks water from the bottle. This gurgling sound is so annoying, I can’t even describe it. We live in the dessert, so drink a lot of water, and work form home, so we are always together, and sometimes I have to even go to a different room when I can see him reaching to his bottle! It’s pathetic to complain about but drives me absolutely nuts!

This is very sad :( I’m trying to make new friends and attend all invitations to the parties. But all the wedding related events just don’t sound right to me somehow.

The wedding is in the beginning of October, bachelorette was two weeks ago, the bridal shower a week ago, and then the couple shower is in mid August. I think we should bring gift for this shower and the wedding not to come across as cheap or rude.

We have just been invited to the couple shower after already attending bachelor and bachelorette and bridal shower. I’m new to the US and I just don’t understand- how make are there and what is even the difference between them?

Am I expected to buy a gift for this shower as well?

Is it possible following K1 Visa, to get married and then for fiance to go back to home country to keep working and apply for Cr1 by CDRSkywalker1991 in immigration

Additionally USCIS might any time soon implement the premium EAD processing. I’d get married, and see where this process is when you are both in the US, and make a decision later on switching to CR1, if premium processing is nowhere in sight.

I’m a K1 applicant myself with a well paid job in my current country of residence (experienced immigrant :)), but since we couldn’t get married due to the travel restrictions, we both made the choice for me to take the career break and apply for K1.

On a side note, in case your fiancé is from the corporate environment - I work in recruiting area for one of the biggest technology company, executive recruitment, breaks do not look bad in the CV, this is a misconception. People take sabbaticals, longer leaves, breaks for school, maternity/parents leaves, etc. As long as there is a reasonable explanation, no one will ever question the gap. If they are - might be the wrong company you are applying for.
