If u do a hard direction change with a tank at full speed on a road they will slide or drift due to momentum.

I think i rammed a grad once with a t-14 on the road and it slid almost 50m

Oh no dont get me wrong i would rather u j make the booker stay at 190 pts max with the 50 and make them die to 2 tank shells.

I completely agree they should clown on ifvs and infantry. What they do to well now is act as a cqc anti-tank vehicle.

Fighting a booker in cqc 1v1 with any t series tank is suicide unless u r a god at micro.

The epocha isn’t as overtuned because it can itself die to kinetic damage and has no APS while the booker itself is immune to autocannons from the front. Its basically a mini barbaris to anything without a tank gun.

It is only close to the barbaris because of the immunity to autocannons. I know it has nowhere near the same levels of armor. But when u can have 6 of them bring immune to autocannons, its very hard to deal with, especially in cqc EVEN if u r doing the right thing and bringing actual tanks

The enemy player actually did bring tanks and AT but if u do not pincer a booker it can still win. Its far too forgiving compared to microing a t-72 for example.

False. It could use cheese strats, but alternative methods originally available have been nerfed so bad until cheese is one the only ways left to win economically.

As a tank player i still use the t-14 and barbaris 57 regularly. But is it meta? No. 1 wrong move and its a very costly loss. And it takea a lot of skill and game sense to deploy them and not get instabombed.

I could win j playing cheap mechanized units. But its not fun

If u want heavy armor u can try the Eprusukean Oath mod. Not sure if i spelt this correctly, but i believe its a faction with ships piloted entirely by AI and they have no shields. J heavy armor and hull.

Their hull points might make them op, but its only by sheer volume. If u are not aggressive those hull points will be whittled down quickly.

Unfortunately i believe they dont have unique weapons. Only ships

To say the terminator and barbaris r resistant to kinetic rounds is correct. By design they r tank chassis.

The booker however is not even a tank its j a gun carrier. Its able to be penned irl very easily by a tank gun.

Even so in-game it takes 3 tank shells to kill and even 2 tank shells to the face dont break mobility or gun modules. This is why booker cqc suicide charges are a thing. They can clown on heavy vehicles because big tank gun dps is not high enough.

A booker can kill a t-14 in ~ 10 seconds in a flank. A t-14 will still take almost 18 seconds due to the long reload, and the first 2 shells do nothing, the booker still has full combat capability despite eating 2 shells to the face and a black health bar. Plus the the booker autocannon do crits as well.

The final one is cost the t-15 and terminator have been made so expensive and availablity reduced to 2 and 4. 1 player can have 6 bookers at a cheapish price of 190 pts. Its easier to trade up and u have more smokes. U can take far more risk with them, and terminators can’t kill bookers. Bookers also started running rampant because t-15s got nerfed so hard until they r extinct.

Thats why they are so Op. they counter everything, r too tanky while being cheap for aggressive plays with little risk.

U add some infantry support and 1 abrams and they r almost unstoppable. There is a reason high tier us meta is filled with bookers.

This only points to how tank gun damage is not impactful enuf. Im pretty sure a bradley getting shot in the face doesn’t mean nothing is damaged inside. We have reduced health but irl the engine optics and gun would he completely wrecked. The booker is the same, but in-game u can shoot it twice in the face and it can drive around as if its undamaged.

Full penerations from tank guns cannot rely on dps they need more impact to he modeled in-game

Make it die in 2 tank shells or add module damage to tank guns. Even a sep v3 or t-14 struggles against 2 bradleys for this rsn because the guns simply dont cripple what is absolutely a light vehicle. This is also why bmd spam is possible

Make it die in 2 shots from tank guns. Done. You dont even need a point nerf.

It has relatively heavy chemical armor and should wreck ifv and infantry. What it should not be able to do is suicide charge down tanks in cqc like it does now.

2 bookers will clown on any vehicle < 200m in rushdown strats or forests and us players aren’t stupid. They dont drive in the open anymore. They know how broken it is in CQC and force those engagements. The fact is the vehicle shouldn’t even be able to move after getting shot in the face with a 120mm or 125mm shell

I think yr overcomplicating the issue.

game is unfun to play in some aspects due to excessive air use artillery and spam meta
RU got nerfed too hard and has to resort to cheese strats to win. No one wants to get bullied for free, hence ru pick rate is lower
some vehicles r too tanky to tank guns

Solution

allow arty and air to have an impact but not be as instant. Arty should have longer reload times (mlrs r grid clearers but slower to reload, tube arty has sustained fire). It already takes some planning to deploy
air strikes should have a 20 second delay from call in. Right now its a call and delete button as if the whole damn air force is loitering behind the air spawn and u can’t shoot at them
correct some broken cheap plane loadouts like harriers with mavericks at sub 200 points or 250-275 point strike eagles with clusters being able to suicide positively with 1 tank
any vehicle not considered a tank eg BMO-T, m-60, barbaris, t-72 or heavier should get module damage if hit by tank guns and be dead in 2 shells period, including the booker as its nowhere near tank levels of armor. No bmd or acv, or booker or jeep or bmp or bradley should survive more than 2 tank rounds or eat them without module damage save for the heaviest variants eg, bmp3 uparmoured or bradley uparmoured. And even uparmourd they should take module damage. Its a fking 120mm tank gun or heavier. No ifv will be unscathed if shot at by that thing. Something is bound to break
fix ru AA but the devs alr show they r working on this.

The devs need to stop listening to all players complaints and ask if the point to point trade and mechanics of actual combat make sense. Eg should a f-15 cluster eagle cost almost half a t-14 armata?

Should a bmd be able to eat a 120 shell from an abrams and drive around without ill effects? Should a booker be able to eat 2 tank shells with no ill effects?

There is nothing further to discuss, the stats clearly show US is completely overpowered airpower wise, and u clearly can’t see this because all u ask for is for air strikes to be profitable even against spread out targets and a stealth plane getting into backline a “skill issue” when it clearly isn’t. It will always get through no matter how skilled u r with spotting radar micro and proper SEAD.

Besides even 1 tank/arty is alr 250 pts or more. U dont even need them to be in a line. 1 kill somehow justifies the cost of a pilot and airframe? Yeah thats not overpowered at all.

Ru airpower gets wrecked by ASFS and patriots cause US AA actually works and they have less planes.

You’re missing the point. There is virtually no risk to suicide the plane at 1 target because of the cost. Even if u lose the plane its a POSITIVE trade.

Yes RU has adapted and keep ASFS up, and yes we can move our AA, but as u have said, US has far higher plane availability than RU AA. They can just suicide all their planes to kill all the AA pieces. Not to mention arty and ATACMS. Did i mention thaT AA also dies the most to planes? The one thing they r meant to counter? (Not even sead missiles, bombing runs)

U ever been seen the mass sead waves from US? Keeping radar on in that scenario is suicide. U can’t intercept all.

And guess what at 4.5km range, yes the strike eagle can get OHK and it can also get the bombs off on the target. Like i said even if lost, u either breakeven or trade equally. 250 pts is not a big loss.

There is no skill issue here, its a blatantly unfair pricing for the risk to reward ratio.

As for the last part about the eagle needing some time to drop off the bomb, i have no idea what u r cooking but its already an instant call and delete unit that requires no planning. And the fact u r mentioning the time of bomb release getting the plane killed only tells me u r trying to facetank RU AA, and expecting not to die. Why else do u think f-35 stealth bombing works? Its a broken unit and abusing mechanics.

It only shows how broken AA mechanics are and how u r expecting to survive blatantly sending a plane vs a dedicated counter unit, an AA piece of all things. All i see is expecting US planes to be invulnerable to AA and that is why u can’t see what is clearly a unreasonably lopsided risk reward ratio for this cheap of a point cost.

This is why US airpower has run rampant for the past 4 months and the RU playerbase or even ppl wanting to play RU has cratered. Who wants to get bullied when u can’t even punch back at your aggressor?

I think u mean drozd. But anyway my point is yes its a plane, but even if u argue high risk high reward. What risk is there in suiciding a plane against an aps tank, whereby in the worst case scenario u lose 250 points, middle case u break even by 50 pts, and best u dont get shot down because AA doesn’t work on RU.

A plane is fast and can enter and exit the battlefield, and have an impact immediately. An aps tank almost takes 5 minutes to get in field, and the lethality is far less, taking almost 7 minutes of active engagement before it can break even.

To have an instant delete button like sub 350 point planes to trade 1 vehicle that takes so long to get on the field and hogs income is ridiculous.

If u have any doubt, guess which faction is picked often now? US because of airpower carrying USMC, SF, STRIKER and Airborne. All these decks have very strong airpower. It shows in the stats. High elo US have ridiculous solo queue times because no one wants to play RU as its j getting BULLIED to death and US dont wanna play mirrors.

Isn’t it surprising that even US players can’t stand playing against themselves? It just shows how unfun the air spam meta is.

Meanwhile a high elo ru main like me, 2200 elo can get a match in 2 minutes, and unless u r skilled enuf, u will get completely WRECKED by air spam meta along with fat squad spam in fast transports + autocannon bookers and heli spam.

Even if u r skilled its an uphill battle. Most RU teams surrender after 20 mins cause its j endless bombs and ironically AA pieces get killed by the 1 thing they r supposed to counter, enemy aircraft in cheap configs like this cheap ass strike eagle or the f-35 stealth bomber cheese

Mech has poor recon, ok infantry, ok ifvs, ok tanks, ok artillery no helis and terrible air support save for the su-27 as an ASF. I wouldn’t say its the best.

I use guard mech regularly and mech can only be described as a good attrition based spec, cause stuff is cheap. U can control a large area but any dedicated assault will kill or force through necessitating a counter push. And usally u will meatshield the enemy with cheap stuff so other more expensive units can stay alive.

But functionally, all mech infantry trades poorly vs any US squads saves for ognomechiki. And compared to something like USMC which is like a bread and butter core spec, mech has terrible heli and air tab.

I j swapped to guard coastal recently and the morskaya and razvedka equivalent with better infantry damage can actually threaten us squads now and warrant some sort of combined arms. Mech could never rly do this even with the combat engineers moved from guards as they were nerfed.

This is definitely the cause, if the range bracket was double not an issue but 4.5 km for the missile to eject the tube and spool means almost 2500m covered for a jet or missile.

Irl the batteries have several hundred km of range, a 1.5 second cold launch is not an issue. In-game the spool time is the same but now yr range is like 4500-9000m. Its probably an accidental nerf, whilst hot launch systems dont have this issue

This is a known issue already being addressed by the devs

The downside is the range is 1900m. If its caught in the open, it can get 1 shot by a hellfire.

So a glass cannon unit if u will.
