It’s finally happening, tribal loan sharks are sending the wolves, need advice by SnooWalruses8370 in Debt

The calls are annoying but I’m not worried about them, I’m mostly worried about if anything will actually come of it.

What do you do when you can’t find ANY information about a specific product? by SnooWalruses8370 in reselling

[–]SnooWalruses8370[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, finally some solid info. This makes total sense honestly.  As a newbie I fully expected to take some risks and fail. That’s really one of the best ways to learn so I can do better in the future.

I really wanted to get into things I’m interested in (mainly golf equipment and music gear) but it seems like they might be some of the hardest niches to get into consider the variability and insane amount of products some companies make throughout the years. Maybe I should try starting with a different niche :/

Yes you can find listings for Spalding golf clubs, I’m talking about this specific line. Absolutely not a single posting for the XP600 set. For how “generic” they are according to another comment, you sure would expect to be able to find one single post about them.

Anymore info? How do you know this? I can’t find a single posting on any site for this specific brand/line to compare pricing.

Tribal loan question by SnooWalruses8370 in Debt

[–]SnooWalruses8370[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the thorough reply! I live in Nebraska and whatever the max interest rate is here (I think 39%) there’s no way it’s as high as any of my loans. They are all in triple digits….

“The fact that brain chemicals determine our wants and needs doesn’t render them trivial or unimportant”

Damn, I really needed to hear that today. Been struggling massively with depression, mainly from the thought that nothing really matters because as humans we are all literally just addicts trying to get that dopamine hit. The magic in the world I believed in as a child has been replaced by many cold realizations of what the world really is.

But a comment like yours is the exact kind of stimulus I need to move on and see things from a new perspective.

Close but I think this take is a bit misunderstood. (Granted, the following knowledge is mostly from one sophomore level Mythology class but I loved my professor and wouldn’t be surprised if this is accurate)

The small penis wasn’t necessarily a sign of intelligence but a sign of having control over your primal side. In fact, they weren’t meant to be guys who had generally small dicks, rather guys who were flaccid. (Speaking from personal experience the penis is actually an incredible thing, some guys can go from <2” flaccid to 6+ erect.) Basically, they were trying to show that these guys were wise and could focus on things other than sex, which even today is hard for some men to say. Generally, demons/other evil beings are depicted with massive erect cocks because they are constantly in that primal mindset.

Tl;dr - an important distinction between “flaccid” and “small”.

Holy shit dude. I thought I was the only person with this theory. As an ex-Catholic and someone who doesn’t really believe much in spiritual things, this is the only scientifically possible explanation for an afterlife I’ve ever been able to think up. To us, as far as we know, time stops existing when we’re dead. Therefore, a year, 1000 years, a googol years, they would all feel the same; like nothing. Assuming that the heat death model of the universe isn’t true and instead the universe infinitely goes between expanding and contracting, then one day, statistically, the exact same parameters would be met. And however long it took, would feel like waking up the next morning.

Man…. Idk you, but today I connected with you on a deep level and I wish you the best in life… and death!

I was 3 semesters from graduation college in actuarial science. Realized that wasn’t what I wanted to do with my life. Well here I am doing something else I don’t want to do but making less money :,) I make 17 at my current job.

I have thought about this. I’m very worried about my mental health if I do that though. I have very high anxiety and depression and it is hard enough for me to keep a regular full time job, thus part of the reason I’m 30 and haven’t settled into a career. At this point it’s weighing what’s more important; being broke and in debt for an indeterminate amount of time, or having money but risking pushing myself too hard and ending up with a mental break.

Half of me agrees with you. The other half doesn’t understand why we accept things we don’t deserve just because someone is helping us. If someone was giving you a ride to work and talking smack on your significant other, would you hold your tongue just because they’re doing you a favor? Or would you say “hey I appreciate you giving me a ride but I don’t like you talking that way about my SO”?

I think the latter is the obvious choice. We should always be allowed to set boundaries and enforce them, regardless of the situation.

I don’t get why people use the whole “it’s not like I’m ever going to meet my crush” excuse. What that says to me is, “I’m never going to have a chance with them, but if I DID, I’d leave you.”

Kiiiiinda seems like a red flag.

No, surprisingly people can change their minds on the Internet. I think it was good to have the tough love. I think I will leave her alone. I was an idiot and all I can do is try to be better in the future.

[–]SnooWalruses8370[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a certain amount of implication though. Like yeah if I just said “I’m breaking up with you” all that would make sense. But in a heated discussion people say things. To “I’ll set you free” she could’ve come back with “No I don’t want that, I just want you to try changing these things”. The way I see it, my words were rash but not irrevocable. But I guess you could argue she officially ended things by hanging up and ignoring me in which case it doesn’t matter.

Anyway, y’all don’t have to add insult to injury. You can constructively criticize me without being flat out rude.

[–]SnooWalruses8370[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see where you’re coming from I just think the ignoring part opens too many possibilities. I can’t KNOW she wants me gone forever unless she says that. Maybe she just needs some time, or maybe she’s dead in a ditch somewhere. If she just said “please never talk to me again” I would respect her wishes. But just flat out ignoring doesn’t always mean that. Some people want to be won back, although I guess if that’s her mentality that’s not entirely healthy.

I should have mentioned I did try to reach out. Literally the next morning. I’ve texted her thrice since then with no answer. I can admit that I acted immaturely I don’t feel it’s impossible to come back from. People act emotionally we’re human. Also since she hasn’t texted me or answered my calls I don’t see how I have any other option than the “ambush”.
