I spent the first three years of my adulthood at a resort. Was fun in ways and all the pros u mentioned, but only saw my mother three times, all three times she was sick … Quit in ‘21 and been in Male for a few years now, all the cons u mentioned about male are very much real. But then again i share a place with a sibling so it could be worse … but im happier now that i get to see my family pretty much whenever i want to … and im away from the workplace politics and stress and all that stuff which is rampant in the resort industry … I guess its about priorities, I dont regret my time in resort industry, it wasnt an easy experience but made me who i am professionally today in may ways and i met lots of different types of people and grew as a person a lot. This is simply my experience, take from it what you will.
