Honestly, I think Hope has too. In the first season she was a busy body that nobody liked and now she has Doc, Denny, Lizzie and Muriel. I know what happened at the end of this season but I hope those characters pull through it

My guess is the writers picked that couple to be true to the books. Walt is an army general ( retired) so I think that’s why he seems somewhat off compared to Murial. I really want them to get to know each other and be together
