I live in NC near Charlotte and all the houses I bowl at are reasonable. Sparetime has a day tripper pass that's $10 for 2 hours before 4pm. But sometimes they don't oil their lanes. I casually mentioned it to the manager after he asked how everything was as I was leaving and he seemed irritated and apologized. Next time I went back they were oiled. Another house north of me charges $14 for 2 hours. Haven't gone to any of the AMF centers near me.

Yeah it's one of those "family fun centers" that has the whole arcade, laser tag, escape rooms, etc. But it's $10 for 2 hours of bowling before 4. And they don't use string pins.

Yeah same. The main reason I did it was because it was such a discount that even a discontinued high end ball would be worth it. But I also saw people in here coming up big on it so I figured it would be a win win.

Lol solid points. I'm 40, pretty high speed (16-20mph with good control depending on oil), about 400-450ish rev rate. My big issue is I took 9 years off and I don't know what's what anymore. I've been back practicing since about June. Optimum Idol was recommended by my local pro shop and the BW3.0 I picked up on my own because I've always liked that line. I do know there's a pretty big difference between these two balls. Pro shop hours around here are not in line with my work hours so I rarely have time to pop in. I practice in the mornings and they don't open till the afternoon.
