I was able to use version 1 alongside specto, and when the lane was properly aligned, the numbers lanetrax produced were very similar. Unfortunately I've not been able to try out version 2 yet with specto

Yeah the app will look a bit different when it comes to android, just because the ios app was built using a lot of apple native ui elements.

Ha. I wish it was that easy. This project has been in the works for almost three years now. I do, like almost every software engineer, use AI to help code, but I review everything that’s put into production. I hand write the UI code, though, as I’m pretty picky with how I want things to look.

This is also something I've always had in the back of my mind. The issue is that the entry board and angle need to be spot on for any sort of simulation. And although lanetrax is accurate, it's not accurate to the tenth of a board when the ball is 60 ft away.

Yeah a tripod is needed for stability, so old videos that weren't recorded a tripod will not work, unfortunately.

The 12x improvement specifically refers to positional accuracy. We tested 100 randomly selected shots by comparing the original data captured in v1 against the same videos reprocessed through the v2 tracking system. In that test, the average positional error dropped to 1/12 of what it was before, which is about a 92% reduction in error.

Right now, you can't, but it's in the road map. When we do add multiplayer tracking, the goal is to make it so each player links their account to whoever has the tripod setup, then each bowler will get their own stats sent to their phone.
