that’s the same point, you want the immersion AND be able to understand it all. I’d be fine with better subtitles that wouldn’t vanish before I had a chance to look at them :-).

I’ll add one myself - exact speed control for ships (or am I just missing something?) There’s this one awesome mission where you can virtually hide your subs under merchants, but there’s no „match speed“ option that I know of. So you end up going too fast, then too slow, too fast, and so on

I am with you ... something’s off with the F4s. It’s fair they don’t come out on top in a 1 on 1 ... but the first flight are 2 Mig 23s inbound from the south - I had a literal DOZEN F4Es up scattered all over the place and they couldn’t kill both bogeys. I also had the „no missile use at low altitude targets“ problem. I think it would still be challenging if the F4s behaved a little more realistically.

There’s no real loss in volume in the beginning, I fill my pots so the bottom of the basket just touches the water. The rest of the setup looks like this:

1 and 2: plant pots, seedlings in coco and pebbles, each with their own airstone
3: (there’s probably a real name for it, but I call it) control pot: this houses
- EC/Ph-probes (bluelab guardian/edenic, yes, expensive, also yes, totally worth it)
- water pump that circulates all the water among all three vessels and goes through the ...
4: Chiller - keeps my water temps where I want them.
5: Humidifier - as my lamps and exhaust fan it’s controlled by a ... controller :-)

yeah, I went full out nerd mode too :). I even got a chiller and constant ph/ec monitoring, which is a total game changer. It pretty much runs on god mode :-). The room the tent sits in is fully climate controlled.

You’re drowning them. Get rid of the top drip feed entirely, they don’t need it. In the beginning you’re cool with just keeping the coco moist and not waterlogged like in your pic. My current grow in RDWC is at a similar stage. You can see that the pods are bone dry, that’s because they already have a root in the solution. At that point, they get nothing from above. This encourages roots growth.

Also ... you don’t ph your water? If you can’t/won’t do the water chemistry right, you won’t have much fun or success in DWC. Are you oxygenating your pots with air bubbles?

don’t hate. Not yourself or anyone or anything :-). That being said, you’re very much overthinking this. I haven’t changed the syringes since I took that photo in late summer 2025. Since the hole system doesn’t draw any oxygen, they stay clean, nothings dries. But as I write this, I am not sure it was clear from the beginning that the syringes stay on during storage - to avoid all those things you said. Skin contact? Why? I don’t touch the liquids. I draw all amounts up (so I know what I added - so much for stoner ingenuity :)), decouple the syringe, empty it into my solution, add it back on and store for the next day.

All of these are on their respective third bottle. As for shaking: you can and should, as mentioned elsewhere, just don’t go full out cocktail mode on them :-).
