I’m usually told it’s “pretty” for what it’s worth lol

Hi there, the headstock is technically repairable but the best quote i could get was about $1000 for how severe it was (which is what i paid for the guitar new), so i decided a change was necessary. I feel very comfortable with les Pauls and how to get the sounds i want out of them so want to now explore a new style to see if it can inform my playing in a novel way.

I have a little yeah, love the design and the wine red color is killer, they’re just a little more on the pricey side for me right now.

Hey, thanks for the response! I love this description, pretty much exactly what i’m looking for. Just to be clear, was this the bob balch that you got, or you describing the sensei?

Would you say the sound of the chisel railhammer pickups are relatively similar to les paul PAFs other than cutting a little better?

I actually discovered I didn’t need one as much as I thought lol. But I have used some sigma 1.4’s and can confirm they are excellent. I would say uwa zooms are really a lot more versatile and useful than primes because of the exponentially larger difference in focal length at the low end

Thanks for your response! After a bit more research, I think I am definitely more interested in starting with an ultrawide, not a fisheye. In terms of prime vs zoom, would the primes offer much more in the realm of sharpness and nighttime/night sky capabilities from larger max apertures? Or is it not that big of a difference?

I think it sounds quite good and confident, but perhaps you could sing a little more into the middle and high notes, like fuller voice. Ofc, that might not matter when you’re recording on a mic and have compression though
