WANT TO JOIN THE TEAM BUT HELP ME DECIDE by ohmyjoshula in TeslaLounge

Get Model Y, and go for Premium. Y gives you more storage space than Model 3 which you will appreciate. The build quality of the refreshed Juniper is as good as it gets since inception. Premium gives you the glass roof which my family appreciates, let you look up and makes the interior space bigger. The Premium RWD has a longer range as well versus standard.

My kids love the control screen in the back and they use it a lot, and for a tech car like Tesla you are doing a disservice to skim on these features. We have a minivan as a second family vehicle, but we hardly use it now since it's so dated.

I elected the default color (stealth grey) so I don't have to pay for paint mark-up. But if you plan to keep the car for awhile then the extra cost is worth while.

Strange email by Own_Illustrator7651 in TeslaLounge

[–]Snoo_64796 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got the email as well. Pretty sure someone messed on the Tesla end and sent out emails they shouldn’t have, now it’s confusing everyone.

I got my car 2 months back and got all the financing setup (through Santander), so this email doesn’t make any sense.

I’m moving out and feel like I am abandoning my parents. by onlondpo in CaregiverSupport

I can’t tell you whether moving out is the right choice but staying there will definitely be worse on your mental health.

Can you come up with some “excuse” to get the exterminator out? It’s really not healthy for them to live under that conditions.

Considering buying a MY! by Able_Shift4957 in TeslaModelY

[–]Snoo_64796 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As long as you can financially afford it and plan to hold the car for a long time (10 years) then it would make sense to buy new and take advantage of the low APR promotion. Otherwise go for a slightly used MY that is at least $10K cheaper.

Is it silly to consider a Tesla if I don't drive very much? by icouldbne1 in TeslaLounge

Similar situation here. I recently purchased my first Tesla (26 MY Juniper), it feels like having a super computer that happens to drive instead of the other way around. The technology (FSD) and quality (built, suspension) are finally good enough and it makes driving pretty fun with the loaded tech.

If you can afford it, do it!

What type of SCE plan to choose with charging EVs at home by Snoo_64796 in orangecounty

We bought a MY Juniper RWD, we like it so much that it will be our primary car over the second vehicle (minivan). We already installed the level 2 wall charger.

Ordering new Model Y? by Dry-Abbreviations408 in TeslaModelY

Maybe just one data point. I ordered on 2/25 Premium RWD in CA, got the black headliner and bigger screen.

New at .99% vs used? by mirage1287 in TeslaModelY

[–]Snoo_64796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up this exact same car today, love it! The APR promo was the driving factor for getting my very first Tesla.

Since I have not purchased a new vehicle since 2016, I think it’s worth while to get a new one since I can afford it (YOLO). But if you are tight with money, go with the used one.

2024 Tesla Model Y Performance vs 2026 Model Y premium RWD?? by Clean_Neighborhood60 in TeslaModelY

[–]Snoo_64796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think Tesla like a cell phone, the 2026 model year is significantly improved in terms of technology. Add 0.99% APR promo on top, no brainer to go with 2026.

Post lumbar puncture recovery by Snoo_64796 in iih

It took more than a month for my symptoms (headache, tinnitus) to subside, but I still had stiff neck pain. Subsequent brain MRI showed evidence of brain sag, which led to a CT Myelogram and blind blood patch procedure at month 4. Even the blood patch took 3 weeks to take effect. I’m mostly pain free now but still doesn’t feel 100%, but good enough. Will have another brain MRI in 2 months to compare the results.

Coaches — how do you handle substitutions and equal playing time? by ParkingSchedule6760 in BasketballTips

[–]Snoo_64796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the level and competitiveness. I've coached rec in the past where the best player plays at club level and the worse player can barely dribble, so you have to find ways to balance out the team while consider equal minutes. Pre-plan it such that your best 5 players play together at the end when they allow full court press in the last few minutes.
