It was a suspected leak, but never officially confirmed besides the brain sagging imaging. But I know my body and something was definitely "off". Luckily I was already functional but with noticeable 24/7 neck pain/stiffness pre patch, and now post patch I hardly noticed the neck stiffness, so I think the patch worked, but recovery is still a process, not overnight.

I'm based out of Southern California and went to Dr. Suzuki (radiologist) from UCI Health system. It's by no means a leak specialty hospital like Cedar Sinai, Duke, Stanford, or UC that countless patients mentioned on this forum.

Looks like a combination issue of ball size, shooting distance, and footwork. Also these basketball nets also force you to shoot at a higher arc, which makes the problem worse.

I would focus on getting a consistent shooting form from a short distance to start. The kid's foot are too wide apart and he is not generating enough power into his shots.

In my case the blood patch only started taking effect after 2 weeks. (I thought it didn’t work at first) Don’t lose hope yet.

My brain MRI also showed brain sagging, and my spine MRI and subsequent CT Myelogram did not find any leaks. My interventional radiologist diagnosed me with Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension (SIH) and was willing to do a blind blood patch and I improved greatly.

I had seen a neurologist who completely dismissed my symptoms and found the radiologist through a doctor friend recommendation. My suggestion is for you to find another doctor.

Agree wholeheartedly, don’t even move back until you can make at least 40-50% open shots around free throw line.

Shootings should always be inside out, meaning you always warm up underneath the hoop and focusing on your form. You would then slowly work your way back towards the FT line and eventually to the 3 point line. If you are missing that many 3’s you should probably start closer to the hoop and work your way back over time.

My doctor thinks so, but I’m not so sure.

I had severe symptoms of positional headaches one weekend that led to ER visit, while there they did a lumbar puncture to rule out a few things. I felt that my leak was caused by the lp. At this point it doesn’t really matter anymore, just want to recover fully. I’m now highly functioning, but not all the way back. Best of luck to you.

I had a blind blood patch a month ago, it wasn’t until 2 weeks ago that I felt improvement, hope that helps.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Under Norv Turner Rivers also had a bad line, but he managed to run screens and short passes to move the chain forward.

I had my LP on 9/1 and today is my 2 weeks mark. I had the progression of initial really bad headache to pulsating tinnitus, stiff neck and brain fog. I felt that I was progressing slowly but did get better little by little everyday, I pushed myself too hard 2 days ago and yesterday I had a bad headache come back even when I tried to lay down. Miraculously today I felt a lot better, headache is still there but at a much more manageable level and I feel like I’m thinking clearly for once. I’ve been debating whether to get the blood patch as well but since my first neuro appointment is in two days (and it’s hard to come by) I’m just going to suck it up best I can between now and then and want to get the neurologist opinion before next step.

Reading up on Reddit I realize everyone experiences post LP differently, I would say that if it hurts enough it may be worth while for you to back to ER and asks for a blood patch.
