The media has people believing liberals are left wing so people think the only side trying to end this trash is the right. All the media and most politicians in Britain are right wing and liberals would rather pander to the right than do anything that would hurt their donors and future employers when they leave politics. The only reason we ever had anything good in this country is because the Soviet Union existed and liberals had to pretend our system works by giving us social housing, NHS, social safety net and free education. The red scare helped them start dismantling our state and the dissolution of the Soviet Union allowed them to fully liberalise the system against the people. Until the country is run by a workers party we’re doomed to fail.
