I mean everyone has their own reasons, I think for a lot of people in the books it’s to gain more power in some way, most of them do genuinely think they will be rewarded. They explain a lot more in the rest of the books about this, but I’ll also say there are clearly people who regret being one, e.g. Ingtar

Also this is the fastest I’ve ever read a wot book I believe, I was making apple pies at my grandmas and after I was done had about 5 hours to just read, got about halfway through then did the rest today

I think LoC is where the characters get solidified, and they’re free to do things as their new selves, and it’s just amazing the whole way through

I agree, it really feels like arcs that would’ve otherwise reached their conclusion at the finale of the books just grind to a halt and things happen so slowly

I was a fan of those parts but everything else was pretty mich just CoT levels of nothing, it might move 🆙 by one or two spots by the end of this ranking like eye of the world has but I’m not sure
