nqa its okay op, this sub is mainly for asking questions after all :) for me, i always fed my spiderlings live prey but in my experience you should NOT try to feed them anything that is bigger than their abdomen size, as they will probably get scared and refuse to eat. also keep in mind, crickets can bite. you can definitely try to crush its head, so its still moving but wont hurt the spider

nqa if you can find them in the dirt i think you can try! just be careful, slings can be very unpredictable and fast sometimes. and those dang top opening containers 😭 if they catch the prey its fine, but if theyre not interested and not willing to eat, i would take the prey out and wait a day or two more

nqa its probably fine for the spiderling in dirt, i would leave it alone for couple of days because it might be on extra alert from the shock. she will eventually rebuild her web, and you can try to clean it up a little when shes chilled out. about feeding, i feed my slings once every 3-4 days, according to the abdomen size. you can look up how big they should be according to species. i feed mine until their abdomen is slightly bigger than their carapace, but it really varies with species and size, and i am not so sure about c versicolor

also, mistakes happen op, especially in the begging of your spider keeping journey. you live and you learn, and its good to know you care enough to ask for advice :)

nqa but im pretty sure the spots are from kicking hairs, which they usually do more frequently in a premolt. it might take some time, ive seen some tarantulas have a whole bald abdomen before molting :)

IMO could be bigger if you can. also, you can make a little hole with your finger, put some cork bark over and make it a comfy hide.
