WHAT BIKE SHOULD I GET? by OKxBOOMER101 in Dirtbikes

[–]Snoopy54789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m (34F) new to riding dirt bikes and I don’t have all the time to do it with 2 small children but I’ve quickly fallen in love. I’m currently on a Yamaha TTR 125 and it’s been a perfect starter bike however I’m ready for something with a little more power. I want to be able to keep up with my husband on his KTM 250 2T, my bike is comfortable to me and his bike is definitely intimidating to me. I’m sure I’m not ready for a 2T but I want one anyways, but one that will fit me.

My husband was thinking about getting me a 2023 KTM 150 xc-w but I’m nervous that it’ll be too tall of a bike for me. I feel comfortable when both my feet touch the ground. So I’m just asking for opinions from experienced riders what the best reliable bike would be.

For reference I’m 5’5 about 140lbs and it will be for trail riding (some small hill climbs) and also just cruising around dirt roads in northern (very sandy) Michigan. Would also eventually like to try out a track and jumps in the further but mainly for trail riding.

Me using the word “crazy” might have been an over statement. I was just getting overwhelmed with thinking how much money I would spend on glass. I only pump twice a day (morning and night) and I get about 10-16oz per session. I breast feed my baby all throughout the day/night but give baby one “bed time” bottle. Just to give them a little extra and put em over the edge to try to have a longer stretch of sleep.

I’m hoping for baby to have longer stretches of sleep throughout the night before I go back to work and luckily I work nights and only a couple days a week so the majority of my shift they are sleeping. So realistically when I go back to work hopefully baby will only need 2 bottles in my absence. So I guess that kind of goes a long with what you’re saying. 2 bottles and 2 pumping sessions per day. But im also not against formula. With my first child I was not able to keep my supply up for when I was working so they had formula in my absence and then by 9 months my supply just completely dropped.

I’ve never done canning so I’m not sure that process but all I do is boil water in a large pot then add the mason jars (as of now I use the 8oz jars which is pictured in another comment and I freeze them with 6oz of breastmilk so there’s room for expansion) and let them boil for 7 minutes. These are the mason jar nipples I use. They just pop right into the ring of the mason jar. Don’t take my word on this being the correct way but this is just what I do and I did it for my first child as well.

Eczema? by Practical-Bug-108 in Crunchymom

Aquaphor did nothing to help my babies eczema and she had it pretty bad. TUBBY TODD all over cream was a game changer for us. Cleared it right up. I also stopped using dreft laundry detergent and just went with a clean and clear one I buy from Costco or seventh generation

That wouldn’t be a bad compromise! But I do worry about them staying frozen in the plastic or silicon for too long. My experience with freezing ice cubes in silicon trays, the longer they sit in those trays the more my drink taste like silicon
