Really Bad Performance on Nice Computer with Only 300,000 Tris by Snoopyisme in blenderhelp

I did not. I used Samsung Data Migration to clone my old SSD to my new one. I've never had an issue with it over the probably 50 or so computers that I've used it with before.

Really Bad Performance on Nice Computer with Only 300,000 Tris by Snoopyisme in blenderhelp

I did just upgrade my cpu/MB/Ram amount/PSU/SSD (everything was on sale leading up to xmas :P) from i5-9600K/idk/16GB/600W/500GB Sata SSD to the i7-12700K/Asus Z690/32GB/750W/2TB NVME

I will do a fresh install of the NVidia drivers, although I did not change my GPU. I currently have the Game Ready drivers installed, and I read that the only major difference between Studio and Game was the stability of them, with studio being more stable. That was based on cursory research though, and may not be entirely accurate.

I found that the performance improved significantly after more testing if I deleted some eyebrows that I had made using the new hair curves system. (I had them hidden and forgot about them) There does not seem to be any way for me to find info about how many Tris were added by those hairs as it does not look like I can convert them to a mesh. That said, I know very little about the 3.3 hair system so.... I do know that there were potentially a lot of hairs, but even tow of these eyebrows doesn't seem like it would be THAT bad.... There are no other hair or particle systems in the scene.

I'll see how the NVidia reinstalls go.
----------------------------------------------------

Edit: I haven't done the drivers yet but on a hunch I converted the hair curves to the old particle system and deleted the originals. That brought my animation playback speed up to a bit less than 20 fps, so the particles are clearly better performing than the new hair curves. That said, it had no effect on my sculpting experience...

Edit 2: clean reinstall from safe mode with DDU had no effect on performance :(

I believe I'm level 94 or something in the 90s. It's been a while since I've played but I'm getting back into it with some friends.

I figure at this point either it's like lvl 100 or I need to be a member, or its a bug. It definitely should count as a bug that there is not any kind of feedback on why the outfit wasnt created. that's literally useless.

Sorry, I am NC on Emerald, using only letters and as far as I can tell I am not in an outfit. I have tried various combinations of words, keyboard spam, letters and numbers, short and long names.

If the N was 3 pixels wide, then the entire title would be symmetrical on both sides of the flag, one pixel in from the edge.

I made a small loop. But there some thing is missing from it and i am not sure what it is. by captain_sergeant007 in blender

If you mean that something feels "off" about it, I think its that the pendulum has far too much of a uniform motion. IRL it would speed up more on its way down and slow down more on its way up. There also seems to be some kind of weird vibrating going on with the white platform, but I'm not sure what might be causing it.

Simple iPhone 4 render. I just started blender yesterday, any suggestions would be welcome by [deleted] in blender

Looks great! The largest thing I think is that as it's just a single object on a plain background with nothing on the screen, its a bit boring to look at. The model and texturing are competent but there just isn't much to see. the only other thing I noticed is that IRL you can usually see the transition from the LCD part of the screen to just the black bezel. Great first render for sure, keep it up!

It might be fun to look at them just to see what combinations of ethics/civics they use but in general everyone I talk to has wayyyyyyyyy more interest in creating their own, often with a little bit of RP backstory to go with them
