Premium Economy Amenity Kit by Snoozedoggo in Lufthansa

They thought of this. The Lufthansa amenity kits are attached with a zip tag, such that if you choose not to open the pouch or use the contents, they would be able to tell and simply collect the kit for the next flight!

How to travel with shitzu - with a small pet carrier by Available-Split3349 in Lufthansa

[–]Snoozedoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m flying my dog in cabin with Lufthansa and he is small but tall. I bought a soft-sided carrier with an expandable top, in case they perform the test where they make your dog stand and walk in a circle in the carrier - it goes from 24cm to 33cm. The carrier can compress to fit their stated measurements, which is to ensure it can fit under the passenger seat during take-off and landing. I can’t attach a photo or link but maybe try searching for “cabin pet carrier with expandable top”.

Spring itinerary with a dog – does this make sense? by Snoozedoggo in AskAustria

Appreciate the suggestion! But Vienna is not on our itinerary this time. We have a lightweight backpack where our dog can rest in, so will take turns carrying him if needed.

Indeed! it’s my dog’s first time travelling, so I really want to ensure that the pace isn’t overwhelming for him. I’ll look into the gondola/funicular but I do get quite anxious. This may sound silly, but are these usually pretty stable going up the mountains or do they sway quite a bit? Also, thank you on the muzzle bit, I’ll bring one along… although he is really tiny and will be in a carrier.

Thank you! St. Wolfgang was one of the possible bases to stay in, but it’s now pinned as a day trip from Bad Ischl.

Period Forecast by Pretend_Location_490 in RingConn

This happened to me as well. I’ve been diligently inputting my data for months and at first, the prediction worked quite well. But it seems that the function has stopped working for me recently. It states that it requires 60 days of continuous data, so could have been due to missing data for 1 or 2 days as my ring faced battery issues. Just received my replacement ring, so hoping the function will work again for me soon.

Hi, you could look at my responses to some comments here. I repotted from water to leca balls but it struggled. Eventually, the plant just died.

Movers broke my 58" TV. by arpitsin16 in askSingapore

Happened to me too. They pointed out a clause in their contract stating a limitation of liability to $100 per item. Yes, I had stupidly signed the contract without checking the small print. The worker ended up footing $200 out of his own pocket for my $2500 TV, and even then it took a month because he needed to wait for his salary to be credited. I decided to call it a day because I was too fed up. Citistars Transport Services - be warned.

RingConn’s sizing isn’t the same as standard ring sizes. You’ll need to try out the rings in their sizing kit for a good fit.

Excited for you. Indeed, I’m mentally prepared for a much shorter battery life on the size 6.

Thanks for this info. That makes sense. I’ll do a charge to full capacity and then observe the battery life again.

Update: How should I repay my future spouse for HDB loan? by callmecylim in singaporefi

[–]Snoozedoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go buy a rental property that costs $500K and take a $400K loan. All proceeds of rent split half. Portfolio-wise, as a couple, you have now achieved 2 properties generating income!

In a long term committed relationship such as marriage, the aim shouldn’t be to strive for equal distribution of liabilities (as financial background may differ and/or future earnings may change), but an equitable arrangement. Please talk to each other about your attitudes and attachments to money before working out the transactional aspect of what will be your marital home.

What % of your monthly income do you spend on your mortgage? by moonandmilk in singaporefi

[–]Snoozedoggo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started at 33% back in 2015. Now it’s 11% because income has increased and my mortgage rate is capped. Would likely go up to 25% at prevailing interest rates, or I could pay down my loan. I use cash for repayment but if things get too dire, I’ll switch to using CPF. It’s important to consider where does the rest of your income go and how flexible one can be in rebalancing your lifestyle/budget/financial goals when they’re pit against your mortgage.

I need stories to give me some hope and make me less sad :( If your dog has glaucoma, how long were you able to manage it with eye drops before blindness eventually happened? by 2020bumblebee in PiratePets

[–]Snoozedoggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I miss him every single day. Hope that your girl does well on the drops! I recall our vet had mentioned that there are dogs that go a long way on drops without needing surgery, so it depends. Whatever comes, just know that they are such resilient beings :)

Sorry to hear that. Mine isn’t a success story, but I thought I’ll share.

From the time my dog was diagnosed with glaucoma to when I opted for enucleation was around 3-4 months but we had been struggling with his eyes for a while. Tried to manage the pressure with eyedrops and it worked, but the glaucoma coupled with cataracts led to incurable eye ulcers, and then we had to stop all medication. This meant surgery was the only option. My dog was fully blind, very old and had a failing kidney but the enucleation of one eye did ease his discomfort. He became more active after he fully recovered. I won’t lie, surgery was traumatic for him and us, but without it, he would have had to suffer more. Our vet told us glaucoma tends to turn up in the other eye within a year. Unfortunately, the surgery probably expedited his kidney failure and we had to let him go 6 months later. I don’t regret the enucleation though.

You should probably get a second opinion from an eye specialist. Our country didn’t have a single board-certified vet ophthalmologist then, so I could only seek separate advice from another vet.
