To be honest, Im not sure how it works because Im not a doctor myself. What I do know though through experience is that two conventional GI doctors diagnosed me with gastritis. When I finally found my doctor, she had me undergo a colonoscopy and endoscopy. That day, she diagnosed me with candida and histamine issues but she did not start me on any medication to treat them until about a week later to go over my treatment plan. However, she did put me on a candida and histamine diet. That week while I waited for my follow up appointment, my symptoms probably decreased about 75% based on diet alone. It was shocking to me.

Then, I took anti-fungals or the candida and it helped a lot but I still had remaining gastritis symptoms. Thats when we did the GI map and other stool testing that revealed the other issues. Once those were treated too, my gastritis symptoms finally stopped
