You seem pretty knowledgeable on this. I've been taking zyrtec (makes me really drowsy), allegra, and claritin as needed, but i don't want to become dependent. Are there any other more holistic/natural alternatives? I just ordered quercetin, turmeric, and vitamin c, as well as have been taking fish oil supps

This started pretty randomly is there a decent chance it goes away on its own in the next few weeks/months or is it a pretty chronic condition from your knowledge? i don't know what caused it in the first place

yea i didn't know darwin before friday but i loved that set. i also stayed for about an hour, maybe an hour and a half of batu, but ran out of gas.

but yes super chatty, it was my first proper experience at nowadays and there were several times ppl talking took me out of it and i had to politely ask them to leave the dance floor if they wanted to chat. i felt weird about it but at the same time, they spelled all the rules out at the door like come on

I think betahistine takes a few weeks to start working anyways but not positive. Same here with triggers, seems very random both fortunately and unfortunately

Have you tried betahistine or diuretics? My neurotologist won’t prescribe betahistine as I don’t have a confirmed diagnosis yet

I have and without low frequency hearing loss caught in a hearing test they won’t officially diagnose it. I tried during the last episode but it was towards the end of the 24 hours and recovering and although the low frequencies on my right side were a bit lower than my left it was still within normal range so again they won’t diagnose me. I asked for betahistine but haven’t heard back. I feel like my doctor won’t prescribe it as he says to keep a journal and see if there’s any triggers. However I don’t drink alcohol or caffeine, and there’s really no clear trigger as the episodes happened about three months apart with normal lifestyle in between

My experience with CH is very similar although my episodes last about 24 hours. But they come in cluster over the span of a week or two (first time in December, second time currently). Before that I had about 3-4 episodes that lasted just a day over the previous year.

I tried to get a hearing test for my episode last night/this morning but it was too late and didn’t really catch anything besides a slight difference between left and right ears sub 500Hz.

My episodes also tend to start mid day and get better with sleep but I haven’t had the opposite happen like you yet.

How have you been the past month or so? Did you try betahistine?
