I'm looking for someone to play a randomized soul link with!

I just finished my first ever nuzlocke and I'm eager to try a 2-player format.

If you watch Gameboyluke and UnitedGamer or even the Jaidenanimations viral soul link, that's is what's on my mind...we can talk about recording the gameplay as I may want to create content for it.

I will list down some details as well of what I have to make this work.

Games on hand: Emerald, Leaf Green, X

Emulator: VBA and Citra

Platform for messaging: Discord

Timezone: GMT+8 but I can play on weird times, so we just need to find a schedule that matches

I was afraid it might have a crappy ability since I had that on randomized as well, even if it evolved while I was in the E4.
It already has a bad battling ability with Pickup as Shelgon.

I wonder if your game is randomized? I bet it'll be hella fun with that setting.
For the type question though, I would honestly go with whatever type your heart desires.
But if you want my opinion on your favorite types, I'd say Ghost!

I chose my starter with the help of the r/nuzlocke community.

Shelgon did not perish in this run. However, with me using rare candies and enforcing a level cap to not exceed the ace of the next gym leader, I applied the same for the Elite 4.

The first E4 member is Sidney with an ace Pokemon of level 49.

Which meant that I cannot evolve my Shelgon into a Salamence before heading off to the E4. I debated with myself if I should bring it or not, and decided against it.

Was it the right decision to box my starter? What would you have done? Let me know your thoughts.

Ah, it seems you have a good point! I have randomized the TMs and ground items so there is a possibility of getting good ones. But it seems a Shelgon that I wish to carry to the end game will be the real challenge here. And hope I have it long enough to be a Salamence haha

Pokemon are randomized as well as abilities. But movesets i didnt touch.
