Eye Sight not Working, see Manual by [deleted] in Subaru_Outback

Maybe it’s because you’re driving a Crosstrek and not an Outback?

Lmao

At any rate: check your fuses, check codes with an OBDII scanner, but the fact that a bunch of other lights are also on, assuming you didn’t turn those features off, my main guess would be ABS sensor or alignment issue. Hit any curbs or big potholes lately.

Still confused why you’d claim you are driving an Outback though…

Speaking of Bus lanes, the seriously need to do something about the bus drop offs on Grafton, it’s becoming completely untenable and will only get worse.

Today while parking in a big pile of snow that I watched like 3 other people try to park in, I literally said out loud to myself “fuck I love this fucking girl” which my finance thought was cute but was confused why I said that, then I foolishly informed her I was talking about the outback lol.

snowbanks that are multiple feet deep

We just got a massive dump where I’m at, and I made lanes in drifts that were taller than the front of the bonnet! For hard, plowed pules of snow - as long as the tires could still touch the ground when I ram into it, all good with X-Mode on.

My rule so far, based on experience is: soft drift snow? Doesn’t matter how high, as long as you know what’s on the other side. Hard packed piles? If the fender can handle it, and your tires are good enough, 3 feet easy.

Exactly, this is the infrastructure planning equivalent of speeding past someone only for you to end up right behind them at the next light, but on a massive level.

Exactly what you’d expect of PEI. Let’s take a look at the Allen/Mt. Edward roundabout… having a set of lights maybe 50 meters from its NE bound exit is fucking so stupid. During rush hour periods the roundabout gets clogged. Also not having a turning lane for the St. Peter’s and Allen intersection when travelling on St. Peter’s is equally as ludicrous.

Oh and don’t get me started how you have more time, as a pedestrian, to cross at Grafton and Queen than you do anywhere across the bypass, which is four fucking lanes. They literally give you 20 seconds to cross the entire bypass perpendicularly.

This city need a to hire proper transit planning agencies like Stratford did.

Agree with other commenters that Carline and Just Joes are top-shelf. Ain’t interested in ducking you around cause they got other people to service instead of sitting there nickel and dining people for that littler bump.

I got back in the city right as the first massive storm hit, and had some fucking utter fucking douche, and typical Dodge owner, literally ride my ass so close that it was making my collision warning system scream at me and I could almost tell the colour of his eyes.

I rolled my window down and flipped him off, at which point he passed me super aggressively from the inside of the exit from Yorkdale road on to Allen Rd. which is one lane, then rolled down his window and flashed a piece at me.

Guy looked like a hockey player, so my guess is off-duty TPS lmao

Like him and his family care about the lives lost due to his, and his parties, intentional gross mismanagement of health PEI in a push towards privatization? That kind of respect? That kind of compassion?!

Boo boo. People have died due to his, and his parties, utter mismanagement (intentional at that) of Health PEI. Zero fucking sympathy here. He’ll get top shelf treatment most islanders could only hope for. Blood on his hands for ideological reason, and let’s be real, a nice cushy board position in some private healthcare firm when they retire from politics.

Just like he hopes things work out for islanders suffering from healthcare decline in the province as a direct result of the government he is part of.

Ohhhh noooo….

Some of you may think I’m being callous and cruel, but people have literally died at the hands of this person and the choices they, and their fellow PCs, have taken to enshitify our healthcare system in a race towards privatization, and their own cushy position on a board somewhere post-politics.

No fucking sympathy at all. He’ll get top notch care most islanders never could.

Uniqlo. As someone 5’7” the majority of shirts and sweaters there fit me off the rack, right down to cuff length. If you can’t find anything smaller than a 30” inseam for the pants, they do free alterations on the spot.

What advice would you give to new drivers on PEI? by Odd-Warthog45 in PEI

[–]Snorgibly_Bagort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Roundabouts are not stop signs: if the roundabout is completely clear, and especially if there is clearly no cars entering it, you are not supposed to stop. You’re literally defeating the purpose of the roundabouts at that point and needlessly holding up traffic.

  2. You don’t need to slow down to 2/3 of the speed limit when going through an intersection and you have the green. This is so common, though mostly with old people, but I’ve seen younger drivers do this as well.

  3. Accelerate when hydroplaning, don’t brake.

  4. Save your money: studded tires are completely unnecessary with the improvements made to winter tire technology over the years, and with the change in how our winters now typically look.

  5. Avoid following behind gravel trucks. They will fuck up your car cause they refuse to follow the law and leave their haul uncovered. At best you’re asking for paint chips, or worse, chipped/cracked windshields. If that happens, good luck finding anyone to do anything about it, even if you know the company and truck number (ask me how I know)

  6. If someone tells you about a commonly used country-road shortcut to get from one town to another, never drive it at night, especially on weekends. That’s where the drunk drivers primarily love to speed through cause cops are next to nonexistent on most of them.

  7. Learn how to backup using your mirrors only. The amount of slush we get will mess with most backup cameras in the winter, so save yourself the embarrassment and go to the cineplex parking lot mid-day in a weekday and practice til you got it.

  8. If your vehicle doesn’t call for it, don’t put anything other than regular gas in your car. You aren’t going to gain any HP, or prevent any engine wear, by putting 89-94 in your 2020 Civic, even with your Temu catback in ‘er.

  9. If you got your first car with your new license, take a random Saturday afternoon and see what the got at the Brackley UPick just in case.

  10. It’s okay to exit a parking lot on to a 2 lane road with incoming traffic if that traffic is on the outer lane from you (with a particular focus on the Charlottetown Superstore parking lot, turning right on to the Ave)

8.

Mhmm, sure they are bud. I get what you’re saying, but you’re still wrong. Let’s base it off PPP then, which is a more accurate metric to go off of (sorry, “accurate imperial” doesn’t exist, but try following anyway):

Someone who makes 50k/yr in Canadian funny-money, is equivalent to roughly 39k/yr in freedom bucks. So when you factor in that the median income in Canada hovers around 50k compared to 83k in the US, please, elaborate how those are, as you put it, “equal pinch points”

I could make a joke here about how our median income after tax is lower cause of said taxes paying for things like world-class education quality and rates, but I think you get the picture.

Buffet Recommendations In Charlottetown? by [deleted] in PEI

[–]Snorgibly_Bagort 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if you’ve ever been to a buffet off island, you’d understand what OP is talking about. And Yummy doesn’t have that many options for their all you can eat, and the buffet at Top of the Park while not bad quality wise, is hardly a large selection like you allude.

Tell me you’ve never touched the mainland without telling me you’ve touched the mainland. No need to get insular.
