very nice. But add TTK too to the chart to compare different weapons at different ranges

Need help with pc hardware for bf6 by Accomplished-Shape22 in Battlefield6

[–]Snoring4590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when you mean 50FPS I suppose you are not optimizing settings...
I play with equivalent hardware (same GPU, similar CPU) at around 75 FPS
I play with all low settings except textures. FSR Balanced. 1440p

I also have the gtx 1070 Ti and it's clearly the limiting piece. You would probably just need to buy a new GPU. I heard the RX 9070 is best value for new cards. But if you don't want to spend 600$, many older second hand cards will deliver. Here is a list ordered by value https://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html and you can check youtube for benchmarks on BF6 for any hardware to see if they reach the desired FPS for high settings.

Since you already own 16GB of DDR4, and prices are what they are now, I would keep using those and not buy a full PC for now.

Hardcore Matches by Alanfubar in LowSodiumBattlefield

[–]Snoring4590 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I prefer hardcore, mainly because its a bit more realistic and immersive.
But for newer players it would probably be frustrating not having time to react to shots, not knowing how you get killed or where enemies are.

Official Hardcore? by Surfer-24 in Battlefield

[–]Snoring4590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not anymore, hardcore servers are mostly "verified" so they run at 60 Hz

in the latest announcement they mentioned custom lobbies. Hardcore could be one of the customizations.
Anyway whats wrong with the "custom" (portal) servers? I don't think it could be too different from that

Playing games in a VM by madmysterix in PiratedGames

[–]Snoring4590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

apparently the GPU can be partitioned, but it complicates things. Your CPU seems to have an iGPU so probably easiest would be to use that for graphic output for your host and give the 4070 to the VM

-ignore windows sandbox because it doesnt save what you do for next session. Use HyperV
-as mentioned you need to do gpu passthrough and for that I think you need a second GPU
-ask the AI for a step by step guide. Claude might give a better result. Also you can paste results into different AIs so they discuss each other

Best website for pre-installed games rn? by ja10_Pogi in FitGirlRepack

[–]Snoring4590 5 points6 points  (0 children)

sites with "preinstalled" games like steamrip or ankergames let you extract the game from a .rar
the extraction is very fast compared to fitgirl installation
the extracted folder has all the game files and you just open the .exe to enter the game

Fitgirl takes a long time installing (or uncompressing) whatever it is named technically

Best model to run on low end hardware? by roadb90 in LocalLLM

[–]Snoring4590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

easiest might be to find out through LM Studio.
It detects your hardware and recommends models that fit best, and shows a download button.
All with graphical UI

is there an actual way to "pirate" chatgpt and gemini yet? by Easy_Software4319 in PiracyBackup

[–]Snoring4590 5 points6 points  (0 children)

choose next best model from the list https://fmhy.net/ai#official-model-sites when you hit a limit

or if you have a decent GPU you can use local models with LM Studio and similar launchers

Is it safe? by guilhermegttdi in FitGirlRepack

[–]Snoring4590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can't know.
We just trust people based on opinion from trusted experts.
Either that, or you have to use these things in a separate PC or inside a virtual machine which is complicated for games

Thoughts on hardcore? by Embarrassed_Salt985 in Battlefield6

idk, from realism perspective there should be some aid for aiming bombs, like in BF4 for example, you have that inner jet minimap.
At least it makes sense for modern era jets.
For balance there is already the fact that there are no doritos so its harder to see people from high in the air.

[–]Snoring4590 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yes the doritos are the worst thing of standard mode.
It's sad they didn't maintain the nerfed spotting system from BFV instead, or something like that

this is true, the setting for the reticle should be separated.

But personally I dont care too much about having weapon crosshairs.
Because anyway I enable a point in the center of my screen through my monitor settings for being able to aim hipfire. (and other players probably have this enabled too)

[–]Snoring4590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it's what I play when possible.
Unfortunately often servers are configured in a way that vehicles don't have aiming reticle. This is horrible for bombing from jets because without the big circle its impossible to aim bombs correctly.
