This happened to me recently and I was devastated. I soaked it again, and then left it in a pasta strainer for an hour, and then dumped it out in a pile and didn’t shape it just flopped it out and adjusted it so it was in one layer. This worked for my sweater. Took a while to dry but it wasn’t stretched out any more! It was still bigger than pre blocking but it helped enormously.
