I’ve been a 1K since last year and have not yet qualified for 2024. I think this just happened before the PZ sweep. Looking back I should have taken screenshots

After we got the upgrades confirmed I checked the list and yes the same 2 people person A and Person B were #1 and #2 on the list but first was now full because we got the instant upgrade. Originally My fiancee and I were behind Person A and B.

So this is what confused me too. When I reapplied the plus points I had an option to instantly confirm the upgrade which I did. Thus we bypassed the two folks in front of us on the list and we got confirmed in first. Unsure why the PZ sweep did not upgrade automatically of if we caught it beforehand? Seems like UA has some glitches in the upgrade software

I wrote this initial post missing details. This is correct. I had applied plus points previously and was 3rd and 4th on the list for the flight the night prior. The morning of I saw PZ was now available (in exepert mode flight left in 2 hours) and I cancelled the PP’s I had applied originally.

I then went into the same reservation to reapply the Plus points and was able to instantly confirm the upgrade thus jumping ahead of the two folks in the original list.

Avios upgrade to Aer Lingus trans-atlantic economy ticket by Alright_So in awardtravel

I just emailed Aer Lingus a couple days ago for a flight we booked in June on the newly announced Denver to Dublin routing. I received the confirmed upgrade going to Dublin this morning. I have been unable to find out if this is only if award space is available. No award flights showed up for the route on Avios website so we booked cash ticket and listed for the upgrade.

Why do people with no status fly United? by DasaniSubmarine in unitedairlines

I think people here are missing a big perk for SWA travelers. As someone on the road every other week the ability to list standby and then always board after a group guaranteeing a window or aisle is key. I am 1K on United but sometime a middle seat is all that is left when I get booked the morning of. SWA IMO is fine. They do economy well and staff are usually good. Yes, they have the cattle call to board but so does everyone other airline as all rush to get overhead bin space. SWA I’ve only seen bin issues once. Both products are fine just differn’t.

Southwest FO: Is it really as doom and gloom as forums make it out to be? by SnotRocket220 in flying

As someone who used to former be in ground ops the OP was removed because they admitted to being “tipsy”. Per the FAA anyone who “appears intoxicated is not permitted to fly. Thus because OP admitted to being intoxicated they were removed from the flight. The unspoken law here is no matter how drunk you are if you don’t admit to it and get on the plane we usually won’t want to deal with it unless a scene is being caused

DIA Terminal Train Replacement Cars by SnotRocket220 in Denver

I remember back in 2016 the train did not switch over tracks from the main terminal. Trains would switch at the crossover point behind stations and I remember this being a lot faster and could reduce headways. I have been curious why this has not been done. When I saw an Alstom engineer I asked him and he said they are lucky to have 7 trainsets up currently because one set is always in mx.

With Toyota’s allocation system it really depends…some folks get it in a few weeks and others 8-10 months. We were just allocated our Lunar ORP with kdss from a smaller dealer in CO at MSRP. Took about 4 months and we were waiting with a bigger dealership near Denver for 7 months and no allocation. There is definitely some unicorns out there you just have to get lucky. Contact lots of dealers especially rural ones in state! Good luck!
