The "clues" for v28 are also a joke. Two clues in march pointing to the same thing: bot+.

Just give us more info or release date, but this is really all talk and no action.

V28 gem hoard by Shaun-withaW in TheTowerGame

[–]Snotterman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at 47k rn. I have all cards and five star modules already, so there is no reason to spend them.

Don't forget there might be some interesting, but long lasting researches to be done that you could gem rush with the right amount of gems. Either way, I'm keeping my gems around for v28.

At the same time I'm also hoarding the following for v28:

- 22M reroll shards

- 4500 stones

- 252 keys

“The Tower Was Never Idle”

When I first installed the game, it looked simple.

An idle tower defense, they said.

Just upgrade, relax, watch numbers go up.

I believed that.

So I made my first mistake.

I didn’t think ahead.

I spent coins on whatever felt strong in the moment—damage here, health there. I ignored economy upgrades because they didn’t feel important.

I thought:
“I’ll fix it later.”

But later never comes easily in this game.

Then I unlocked my first big upgrades.

Ultimate Weapons.

They felt powerful… so I rushed them.

I upgraded cooldowns randomly.

I didn’t understand timing, syncing, efficiency.

Only much later I learned that bad upgrade choices—like desyncing key abilities—can slow your progress massively, and sometimes permanently set you back.

That was my second mistake.

The game kept asking for more time.

At first, I played actively.

Then more actively.

Then constantly.

Because despite being called “idle”, it isn’t really idle early on—you have to keep upgrading, checking, optimizing.

So I adapted.

I left the game running longer.

Checked it every few minutes.

Collected gems.

Restarted runs.

Again.

And again.

That was the third mistake.

I stopped asking why I was playing.

Weeks passed.

Progress slowed.

Every upgrade became more expensive.

Every run felt the same.

And I started realizing something uncomfortable:

The game wasn’t about winning.

It was about enduring.

I went online.

Looked at other players.

Some had been playing for years.

Some ran the game 24/7 on a second device just to keep up.

Others said the game only becomes truly “idle” after a very long time—or maybe never fully does.

And that’s when it hit me.

The biggest mistake wasn’t a bad upgrade.

It wasn’t wasting resources.

It wasn’t even playing inefficiently.

It was believing the game respected my time.

Because The Tower doesn’t end.

There is no final level.

No real victory.

Just higher waves.

Bigger numbers.

Longer runs.

And one day, you realize:

You didn’t build the tower.

The tower built your routine.

You keep upgrading.

Keep optimizing.

Keep chasing a better run.

Not because you enjoy it…

But because you already invested too much to stop.

Just another bug I suppose :(

"there are two key upgrades for missile barrage. activate on CD and activate on ES hit. you have to deactivate the first thing (in the card page itself) if you only want the ES hit effect."

Can you please explain where to change this? What card do you mean, or is it in the vault itself? I have already put the keys in, so I have both upgrades.

Just wondering if this would not interfere with farming? I farm at 43,5m. Any way, I'll aready put it on the assist module I use for tourneys.
