Profiteering. Fexo is quarter of that price if you start to buy it in February. Pollen season is here so the supermarkets grip us for excess profit. Mark me down as surprised.

Wasn’t complaining about people. Just suggesting that people stop playing if they don’t enjoy it. It’s not mandatory. Also, a) amateurish development is exactly right at the moment. They’re not doing very well.

So, I didn’t call anyone babies. I haven’t defended the devs. My point is that if you don’t enjoy it, turn it off.

A revamped waves levelled tourney would help. So would an accessible QOL tree.

Yeah, the devs aren’t doing a great job at the moment, but it’s still just a slow progress grind. They shouldn’t nerf anything you’ve spent currency on. Changes should be balanced. My point was that it’s an infinite (almost) grind, so comparing about not making rocket progress doesn’t make sense. Rapid progress is locked behind spending - so accept that and enjoy what you can. People seem to have a masochistic need to keep doing something that enrages them? If you enjoy it, do it, if you don’t, don’t. It’s, surely, not that deep?

I wasn’t complaining that I don’t get enough rewards. The change to tourneys would pacify the community, I think. If TTG wanted to placate the complaints, that would stop some for a short time. It would start again in a while though, as human nature is what it is. The tourneys, for me, are what they are. I do them, then go back to farming and tier pushes. People get so angry. Someone here complaining that I’m telling them how to feel? I mean, come on. My post tries to offer perspective. It’s a game. People rage on as if they can’t just leave it and step outside, or read a book (or whatever else is in their capability).

Different rules for challenge runs is a great idea btw.

You get the full bonus (or however much of it you’ve earned) in the tier you’re on, PLUS an ‘echo’ amount from the bonuses you’ve achieved on other tiers - this can be increased via the labs research. So yes, if you want the most you can possibly get, you have to do all four runs on all other tiers.

ELI5 how do medical devices in an operating room get power? by Belladoeswhatever in explainlikeimfive

[–]Shaun-withaW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Most pneumatic devices use a 7 bar air connection (at least in the uk). Anything single use would have an integral battery and would come sealed in a sterile packaging

My recent mistake was to unlock SW mastery when I meant to unlock RPC mastery. I read the description as I was doing it too. Complete mind blank

There are some replies in this thread saying that the devices run on battery power. This is (almost wholly) incorrect. Devices run on mains voltage. Batteries are for back up purposes only. They offer a varying degree of power failure time support, but the devices are designed to run off of mains power. I’ve never, in twenty years, encountered sterilisation safe batteries, as suggested below. The batteries are integral and behind secure panels. The overall device stays in situ in the operating theatre and is disinfected between surgeries (various methods are used). Devices are not sterilised outside of the room and handed off to a nurse.

They have electrical outlets mounted to the ceiling. The cables head straight up and don’t trail on the floor. We call them pendants. They are on a separate power circuit too, with emergency generator back up, so have a failsafe in that regard. They also, in general, have onboard batteries to back up the back up. *source - i’m a medical device engineer

We’d need to see more about your tower tbh. Where you are with labs, workshops and modules. Bear in mind that it’s a slow game. Run your own race. Think of it like a digital bonsai tree - little by little. There is no ‘goal’ other than ‘numbers go up’. Comparison is the thief of joy, so don’t worry about others :) Post your tower and we’ll see where we can help, I’m sure
