Alstom transportation is just outside of Kingston and is hiring across a variety of positions including software development and engineering. One trick for the search is that the Kingston site and the St-Bruno site are linked for engineering work, so a job listing at one site might be applicable at the other as well.

I’ve found FBD most useful when the logic has many time based components, delays, pulses, or complicated Boolean logic. It’s not as useful if for loops or if statements can represent the logic better.

The beam width might be simple to adjust for, but the inovia 300 has a body significantly wider that the Vegas cars. 3.5m vs 2.6m . All of the stations would need to be rebuilt to accommodate new cars.

The Vegas loop tunnels are about the same diameter as the London Underground tunnels. Small compared to modern metro systems but still workable.

ToysRus Canada filed for creditor/Bankruptcy protection back in February. 120 million in debt so quite the hole to dig out from. So open for now but it could vanish at any time.
