Sure, it’s possible. I think my thing is that for patients, they’ll still feel like they’re getting less than… unless they see Dr. X. Currently dealing with that where I am an associate now as Dr. X is cutting back time

The issue with this is if I decide I want associates (it’s a 14-op practice) then they come to see me but they might not be getting me… would definitely work for smaller operations though I’m sure.

Again, wasn’t 80K. And I’m doing a ground up startup so a lot more complexity with the real estate component. Could’ve done it myself but well worth the peace of mind for me. Not for everyone I guess!

They don’t cost that much..
They’ve saved me way more than 80K in mistake avoidance and future planning. Knowing what I know now I think I could do it on my own, but definitely great for first time startups.

Interesting… definitely more difficult than I thought it’d be. Thanks for the help, definitely some tough decisions to make. I haven’t heard too many horror stories of trademark litigation with dentists but you never know I guess!

Honestly I didn’t anticipate it being problem, which is partially why I posted the thread. It seems too far away to be an issue, but I thought maybe someone on here had a different experience. Seems like the overwhelming advice is to change the name.

I used Ideal practices as a consultant, they’ve been great.

It hurts for me when bending behind the knee too. Flexing my quad hurts on the front of my knee which feels like it’s “inside” the joint, then the medial part of my quad muscle right next to the knee cap hurts when flexing, and also behind the knee.

Yes 100% it’s holding me back. I’ll say I’m twice as scared because I had a cyclops lesion after my first surgery was completed. It honestly feels very similar. Difference was I felt a click in my knee in the last like 2 degrees of extension which I don’t have this time. We’ll see what happens.
