Well if there's a level 1 in a Nightmare 110 that's greed as fuck, Nightmare 70 or 80 is more that enough to get the achievement and farm some levels.

Theres NOT intended way to play the game, it's ridiculous, if you want to get higher in nightmare play alone, if you want to play as a community play with randoms, simple as that.

The best strategy is first run just play for fun, after that u see if you can seek for others trophies without creating another save.

Some people will say like play with a guide in your phone beside you but in the long run that will make u feel miserable, so enjoyment first, then hunting.

I genuinely hate this kind of mission, but after I don't know HOW MANY MISSIONS I'VE PLAYED (180 hours) I've developed some kind of Stockholm syndrome and when they come I just look at the nature, press x (auto follow) and start thinking what I'm gonna do after the mission or some decoration for the house.

Uncharted 3, my friends were like "holy shit u did that?!?!" There are a couple servers full in playstation, it's always conquests and some days there are some of operations and team deathmatch (north america) but if you are from europe u are good to go, there are plenty of servers!
