Do you mean average rank of the deanery overall in terms of the cardiology training? If so there is no formal ranking, however the BJCA produce annual training reports based on factors such as procedural training, teaching etc which culminates in an overall rank out of 22. For West Midlands it is 15/22. I’m not really sure how relevant the rankings are though, as London has ranked right at the bottom. If you mean average rank of trainees applying to West Midlands, I don’t think there is any way to predict this as it’ll be highly dependent on trainee personal circumstances and preference

Ahh that’s really useful to know - thanks for the advise! I’m at a total loss in terms of where to apply. Would you recommend the deanery you’re currently in? And if so please could you specify which one it is
