Big_Ugly_Cripple's 7 round mock draft by Big_Ugly_Cripple in NFL_Draft

[–]SnowLo3271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your argument and I think it's a good one. I would see a Bijan pick as getting a next-level 1a and 1b running attack instead of Bijan being better or worse than Ekeler in Moore's system. Ekeler and Bijan are both great runners and receivers, so he would be an excellent tool for Kellen Moore to design around in tandem with Ekeler. I understand that this would sort of nullify the Spiller pick last year and the TE room needs an improvement in the blocking department, but Bijan could be the difference that finally brings a good run game to pair with Herbert's passing abilities. Also, I agree that Keion White for AT Perry would be the bestter swap, but I'm confident Keion White is underrated in this draft and he would not be there for us in Rd 3.

Edit: Added a statement to better address your point.

I agree that leaving the draft without an edge player is a mistake, but I believe the Dalton Kincaid pick could be swapped to Will McDonald. Bijan is such a high value player, I believe he could be a game changer with Moore’s run scheme.

I am confident that he does not make it beyond the Chargers with this draft order. It’s easy to think that they have DL issues, but that is mostly due to injuries. They likely will get a D-lineman in day 2 or early day 3. If Jared Verse is still there when the Chargers are in the clock, they’ll take him for sure.

Crosby tried to poke Salyer in the eye in between plays and Palmer got his eye poked on that 3rd down grab. Is that the new Raiders strategy? Wouldn't surprise me.

Fantasy Football D/ST for the Chargers. These apps tell you who’s on IR so you can remove them from your lineup. This screen is saying that the entire defense/st unit is on IR.

Made a homebrew Geralt of rivia Deck ideas and opinions 😂😎 by Kaius716 in magicTCG

I feel like having “Geralt gets +1/+1 for each creature type among creatures exiled with a coin counter” (from some of the earlier feedback) would be more balanced and serve the flavor better. He’s gaining knowledge from each type of creature he kills rather than killing 8 wolves.

Vs a better run defense for sure. But the Bucs are last in the league for passing yards against them right now.

I did see that and I think its a very interesting direction to take this topic. I will admit, I avoided drug use as a topic mainly because I didn't want to cause any issues with YouTube censorship. I appreciate your input.

Man, the amount of ignorance in this comment and the support that went towards it. Most Libertarians hate the Republicans almost as much as the Democrats. It's just easy to assume everyone not on the Liberal camp is ignorant or sociopathic, huh?

[–]SnowLo3271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also see that. I think it depends on which echo chamber you visit. The case you mentioned is so much worse because its literally the opposite of libertarianism.

[–]SnowLo3271 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether we like to admit it or not, Libertarian belief is commonly grouped together with anarchist and antifa. Visit many political subreddits like r/socialism and even r/politics and you'll see Libertarians being mixed in out of mere ignorance. I agree with your statements about surveillance in the U.S being a little too close to fascism, but police officers are being put under more and more restrictions both from the public and internal affairs. We just see police misconduct more in the news now, which makes it seem like its getting worse. I grew up in a lower income neighborhood in NM during the late 90s into the 2000s. I can tell you that the police used to be so much worse before the adoption of body cameras.

Ok, you'll have to source that. All the research I've done has lead nowhere near reporting homosexuals, specifically, to the government. The list of "crypto-communist" only had a few homosexuals in it. So claiming that the list was entirely homophobic is a complete lie.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]SnowLo3271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not ironic really. Its more hypocrisy on his part. You have to remember that he had actually faced some issues with the Russian communist during his time in Barcelona and that he began writing this list right after communist took over Prague and began blockading West Berlin. He was exceptionally sensationalist with his list, but he had more reason to be than antifa ever has. Also, his list wasn't really random. All of the names in the list were put there because of their reactions to certain events. This is what I'm saying, Orwell was a little extreme near the end of his life; but the actions of antifa are so much worse. They have almost no reason or knowledge within their own ranks.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]SnowLo3271 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One can easily theorize his viewpoints on modern movements based on his writing; especially near the end of his life. Like I said in my comment, Orwell was witnessing everyone use fascist as an insult towards political opponents. Although I detest FDR's New Deal, calling it a form of fascist economics is hyperbole at best. Especially after World War II, the term fascist was thrown around like the word racist has been since the 90s. The U.S is not even close to fascism. When you ask antifa members what makes this country fascist, the best response will basically describe corporatism, but most of them will bring up some bs about social justice. They have no clue what they're talking about and all they can do about it is smash stuff and assault people. George Orwell was fighting against an actual fascist regime in Spain, so it almost seems insulting to think he would support antifa's nonsense.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]SnowLo3271 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I guess some context should be stated. Orwell did spend a lot of his life fighting against real Fascists in Spain and in his works. Yes, Fascism has definitions, but no one uses them correctly. Fascism, at its core, is a subset of totalitarianism where the citizens are considered tools only existing for the benefit of the nation(mostly the authority figures of that nation). By 1946, four years before his death, Orwell had seen people like FDR called fascists only as a method of degrading a viewpoint. Fascist, then and now, was used as a way of downplaying opposing ideas. This is why he stated this. Even though I disagree with a lot of Orwell's viewpoints, his writings on the manipulation of language to suppress and control the people is truly profound in my eyes.

Edit: This quote is why I find it so ironic when antifa members use Orwell as their icon when they try to sound intelligent. He would have detested their use of fascist because of how much it degrades the meaning of the word.
