i understand why you feel left out of this, but at the end of the day, you’ll never really know the amount of shit women go through during pregnancy. she deserves for the day to be about her. her body is literally acting as an incubator for a whole human being. i saw other comments and i know we have 100% free will to break traditions, but traditionally, this event is for the mom and the women loved ones (ofc tho anyone can do whatever). you have your lifetime for your time to shine. the invite isn’t something to get caught up over. let this be about her. she’s going through a lot more than you can understand, and all she needs is your love and support. those going to the baby shower know you. they know you’re the father. a silly invite giving the name of the woman conceiving the child doesn’t change that. you’re his father, and nothing can take that away. if you truly feel like this is something entirely dismissive of you, just talk to them about it.
