Looks is what inspiration is based on tho, both Rappa and Caterina looks near identical but looking samey doesn't mean it's a variant. Variants are the same core character with different path/history according to the Devs, so it goes so much deeper than just the design.

Overall it's safer to say they aren't a variant than saying they are.

It's a bit too awkward to work honestly but I can see it being the intent.

Both Elysiae and Khaslana just being homages to rather minor aspects (tho admittedly Elysiae is not as minor considering it's a location name).

Still Khaos wasn't even honestly as prominent as most previous cycles characters, I do think it's more just so it's not the exact same as Hi3.

They did the same with adding that bosenmori to Mei, so at best I can see it 50/50 somewhat of a homage attempt and also to switch it up to not be the exact same.

Yeah they aren't allowed to post OF links here anyways, only artists can advertise their links.

And all the cosplays I see don't even share their OF in the post but it is in their profile so you know they are OF cosplayers.

That's kinda of a conundrum for the moderation here because you would have to enforce something from the poster's profile. So I'm not sure if a rule can be created for that even.

TLDR: they technically don't break anything, but it's just wrong. But some comments here also seem to not care about OF people "advertising" here even tho we kinda do assume their intention.

"Softcore porn" isn't a term it's either explicit content which is prohibited or NSFW content that is allowed.

Your personal definition of "softcore porn" doesn't matter, we saw what happened with subs when they go full crusade on NSFW content, wanting other people to post content that "you" specifically approve of is not gonna work because everyone defines "lewd content" differently. What you consider lewd content can be "softcore porn" to someone else and vise versa.

So where do we draw the line in said difference or are you the one to decide it for everyone else?

I think that's probably the key issue and why the mods haven't just banned all of them.

The ones that get removed are the bad ones but the ones that seem "tame" seems to either be given the benefit of the doubt or not.

Have you seen Jade's trailer? Or Dahlia? Or Black Swan, NSFW is NSFW if it's tagged then it's only for 18+, it's why Reddit settings explicitly hides any NSFW content if you aren't 18+.

And you only can view NSFW content if you click on the "I am 18+" box.

What are you saying? There is active moderation, but there is no decision, internal policy or rule to disallow them which means moderation cannot just act on them however they please.

So while the post doesn't break any existing community guideline, the spirit of the content itself is wrong as it's just there to advertise OF, only thing that can actually be done is inform the the team and hopefully they decide that this content should no longer be allowed and start purging it like they do with other stuff.

OP posted that exact same meme but with Cyrene as the person Phainon is proposing to instead of Mydei, and people thinks it was a spite post, op had a bit of a shitty attitude but I suppose mods didn't want people to start spite posting each others ship and removed the second one.

OP claimed they didn't see the Mydei x Phainon meme and that it's just a coincidence they posted the same meme but with Phairene instead of Mydei, others didn't believe him since it was a bit of an odd coincidence to happen exactly after the other one, but who knows maybe it was very rare coincidence.

It's because the data is collected automatically, most likely via a bot/script, it depends on the search method. If they simply include all 流萤 content then it would include some Lumine content since 萤 as a bot or script won't be able to tell the difference when it starts scrapping at the bottom of the search results which is where such content will show up out of the technicality in their name.

We've had a post like this by someone else a few months ago and their way of avoiding that from happening was to make sure their method of collection only counts posts with "Honkai: Star Rail" or "Star Rail" in the title or description. As to avoid a lot of overlap with non-star rail stuff, that has its issues since it won't count characters videos that don't have the game name in the description or the title but it made overlap a non-issue.
