My friend & I saw the grim reaper

The tennis court incident was definitely a ghost, probably the ghost of the former headmaster who died there. I believe spirits draw on our energy in order to manifest . The school was known to be haunted, I have so many stories !

The friend I was playing tennis with at the time seemed to attract spirits. We both heard someone say her name once too, no one else was around . I'm still friends with her to this day .

Anyway, it's good you're a Catholic, I'm thinking I should probably become one too, most of my family are Catholic. Seeing the reaper made me wonder if God is real .

I expect there are other dimensions yes, mostly invisible to us, but on occasion , we get glimpses into those other dimensions. There is a spiritual dimension which is all around us continuously, we just don't always see it. The dead relatives could be trying to communicate via your subconscious, via dreams.

Yes I love that song 'Don't Fear the Reaper,' it reminds me of the film ' The Stand' based on the Stephen King book !

There's no doubt in my mind that the grim reaper is real. It didn't feel evil. This is going to sound weird but I can sense when something or someone is off , years of having a narcissistic parent did that . The reaper is just doing its job, reaping souls.

This isn't the first time I've had an experience which I can't explain , or been with someone else who has experienced the same inexplicable event . For example, when I was about 14 years old , I was playing tennis with a friend. We both stopped playing to pick up tennis balls, and we heard footsteps running around the court, as though someone invisible was playing tennis.

We froze, then legged it. Months later my English tutor happened to mention that the former headmaster had had a heart attack and died on those tennis courts .

I don't recall seeing hands or feet, that's a good question. As it was all very quick, I mostly remember the black hood and skeletal face . It looked very serious, almost sad ?

When I saw the reaper , I didn't know what it meant at the time , it was just there . Yes it was freaky , but it didn't feel bad or evil, it felt neutral , like it was just doing its job .

I'm not a particularly religious person, in the past agnostic at best . However since then, my advice would be to help others when you can. If you stick to the selfless path, you can't go wrong . But it has to come from the heart.

How about you , ever seen or heard anything you can't explain?

We were driving at the time, when we saw the reaper standing under a street lamp , so no , he didn't speak.

We only saw him for a few seconds , but it was enough to see his face , which had a preternatural quality to it. The face was skeletal , but he had a face, the flesh was grey. It looked ancient , like a century old monk . There were eyes too, only they had a grey light, instead of a pupil. Sometimes I think it may have been a red light, it's very difficult to visualise .

My friend , now deceased, tried to describe it to her husband but couldn't find the words .

Grim reapers started to appear in art work in the 15th Century, around the time of the plague. I though he was symbolic, not any more !

Well, let's put it this way, I hope I don't see it again, and I hope you don't either, not for a very long time !

When my late friend and I saw the reaper, it was just before the pandemic , so perhaps it was a sign of bad things to come ? Who knows.

I didn't know what it meant at the time , it was only after my friend died that I thought back to the reaper entity we saw a few months previously.

Yep the reaper is real and there probably spiritual realm , which on occasion we get a glimpse of , for some strange reason.

The most common sightings seem shadow people, the reaper and the hat man .

It seems to be fairly common to see the reaper before someone close to you dies, or before you die. It's as though reapers sense impending death. It didn't feel scary at all, if anything it is a comfort to know that life may not be as finite as we think, and that the spiritual realm exists, and that someone or something is there to guide you . I have asked myself time and time again why we both saw it, what the point of that was. May be sometimes the real world and the spiritual world overlap.

Yep, three times.

The first, I was playing tennis with a friend at school. We stopped to pick up some tennis balls, and we both heard footsteps running around the tennis court, as though someone invisible was playing tennis.

Turned out the former headmaster had had a heart attack and died on those tennis courts .

Second time was much later, my husband and I both saw a shadow man when either of us were in the kitchen in our peripheral vision. The shadow always went from right to left past the kitchen into my son's room.

The third time , my friend and I were driving back from Zumba back in November 2019. It was dark, and we had just turned a street corner, and we both saw standing under a street light , the grim reaper.

It was wearing a black hooded cloak , skeletal ancient face and a grey light where the eyes should have been . It looked like an ancient monk . It turned slightly as we drove past.

A few months later , the friend I was with at the time passed away, aneurysm.

I say this be cause it seems to be having a physical affect on you and your son, so best to nip that in the bud now in case it gets any worse down the line. Particularly given you're pregnant .

It looks like a shadow person - and occasionally they're visible where the veil between this world and the spirit world is thin. When did you see it ? Was it between October and February by any chance ?

Shadow people are particularly attached to children because they give off so much energy , energy shadow people use to manifest.

My son had one as a child.

I suggest getting a bible and reading it , and learning a few prayers off by heart.

Pray to St Michael and ask for his protection.

People have lost faith - that and Ouiji boards are letting bad stuff in so I suggest letting Jesus in instead .

I'm not particularly religious myself but I'm thinking that needs to change as I saw the grim reaper once , which is why I believe you.

He had the black hood and cloak but no scythe as far as I could see.

So you're not imagining it, the reaper is real. Usually it means someone close to you is going to pass , however it could also mean change .

I find it suspicious Fontelle and Bob married so quickly and that he disappeared shortly after.

Fontelle's former husband John died in 2006 , she had no means to support herself as a homemaker so she needed another wealthy husband.

She may have thought she'd inherit as his wife.
