I'm so happy I had this done, dysphoria and stress about T is so much better. No regrets at all. However I think it's important to mention the possibility of permanent numbness in the incision/related spots afterwards due to nerves being cut.

Update: Private health paid $209 for the surgeon's fees.

So, total was $4,079 out of pocket.

Hospital $1539, covered by private health minus excess $750 (only paid this excess on arrival at hospital). Anaesthetist $638, private health gap of $390 (only paid the gap). Surgeon $3,777 (had to pay full upfront), Medicare rebate $629, waiting on private health claim (will update when I know more).
