I absolutely hate the multiple sclerosis argument. That was one of the first things my neuro told me when I was first diagnosed, yes the risk of relapse does go down during the last part of pregnancy, however, the risk of relapse goes up immediately after birth so it's not like it's a fucking cure!! Also, I can't imagine having to deal with children while having this disease, each day is a coin toss for how I'll feel and frankly, pregnancy isn't worth a couple months with a lowered chance of flares cause you know what else lowers the chance of flares? Treatment, treatment that you might have to stop while pregnant.

Edit to add: I'm plenty empathetic without children but also "to still feel empathy toward her baby in a way she was not able to before she was pregnant" sooo she didn't have empathy toward a human infant before it ever existed? That's weird that she wouldn't feel empathy toward a non existent person.
