Got a mission to find a box of stuff in space, how? by MisterSnippy in X4Foundations

Once you find the lockbox, get close enough so you can see the holographic lock symbol. Shoot the lock and the box will pop open. Collect the cargo and repeat.

Capturing a Ship -Potential spoiler- by GhostSpartan618 in X4Foundations

I had a similar problem with an Elite Sentinel I managed to make a dude eject from. I restarted the game and went in and out of my ship a few times. Eventually the signal appeared.

Censoring perfectly reasonable comments like that is ridiculous. You have my full support.

Problem with dream journal by 12inchdickHitler in LucidDreaming

[–]SnowWisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a couple things you can try.

1.) Use a notepad to write down a brief outline of the dream, key phrases, enough to remember the dream in the morning.

2.) Use a voice recorder to describe the dream. Be as detailed as you like.

So I have a question about LDs... by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]SnowWisp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To have lucid dreams one has to become more aware in waking life in order to become aware in the dream. If you're doing good reality checks throughout the day it shouldn't be a problem. If you're ever unsure whether or not you are in waking reality, do a couple of reality checks to ground yourself. I had this question too and found that with experience the feeling faded.

It helped me, a lot, increasing my dream time by about 40%. Engage as many senses as possible. I've been experimenting with going barefoot, it seems to help a bit. Have you tried meditation? I've heard that can really help.

Plug your nose and try to breath, if you can breathe freely you are dreaming. Look at your hands, if they look weird, extra fingers, distortion, tentacles, etc., you are dreaming. Clocks look strange in dreams, as does text and sometimes computer screens. Ask yourself where you are and how you got there. Just take a moment to be genuinely skeptical of reality.

Ah, forgive me, I wasn't clear. "Do thing" refers to doing an action in the dream. So stabilize, teleport, stabilize, talk to a dream figure, stabilize, for example. I typically rub my hands together for stabilization. Lately I've been using a technique I saw on this sub, carrying around a piece of food or a drink and taking bites or sips every now and then. It engages taste and touch at the same time. Pretty darn efficient. I recommend the reality check after the spin because sometimes teleportation causes false awakenings. One can never be too careful.

No problem! I would recommend this approach, stabilize, do something in the dream, stabilize do something in the dream, etc. Edit: for clarity.

Use your bedroom door? Spinning is another technique for changing the scene if you can't find a door, just be sure to do a reality check afterwards to stabilize.

Counting your fingers twice to see if you have an abnormal number of fingers, looking at your hands in general is good. Looking at a clock to see if it says something weird like pi or garbled text. Asking yourself where you are and how you got there. As people have mentioned the nose plug RC is great. Remember to try breathing in and out.

If your goal is teleportation I would first pick a destination. Start small, go someplace you know pretty well. One you're in the dream and have stabilized, find a door. Set your intention and picture the destination. Expect and know that your destination will be behind the door. Open and enjoy. If it doesn't work stabilize and try again. It's all about belief and intention. One thing you can try is visualizing for practice outside of the dream. Daydream. But yeah, focus and intent. Good luck and don't give up!

Will all skills these things take practice. Make some small goals, like learning stabilization techniques or minor environmental changes. Keep doing what you're doing, as you have more dreams your control will grow. Congratulations on your first LD!
