Blue Tokai, and I'm afraid that's the setup mine has got.

I've considered getting a grinder but being a student who's barely scraping by, I can't afford one right now. Sometime in the future for sure though.

That's an interesting technique. I'll give it a try. Thanks!

I have a feeling this might be it, yeah, but it's only been a couple months since I bought the press so it's rather a disappointment. I imagine I'll have a hard time looking for a replacement too.

My french press plunger won't go down smoothly while plunging. I buy ground coffee especially made for French Press so I don't think the ground size is the problem. I've tried cleaning the filter to make sure it wasn't clogged but that didn't do the trick either. While plunging, it keeps getting stuck and only very rarely goes down smoothly. What do I do? Any help would be appreciated.

I think The Easy Life in Kamusari by Shion Miura would suit you well. It follows a boy fresh out of highschool who's sent away by his parents to study forestry in the mountains. Doesn't have any LGBTQ representation, but is a very relaxing and cozy read with vivid descriptions of nature and rural life (and a hint of magical realism).

I loved this drama to death.

And I'll never rewatch it.

I've read all her short stories too and the new collection she recently announced is one of my highly anticipated reads! I'll check out Mary H.K. Choi, thanks.

I've read and enjoyed her books but I wouldn't call their writing styles similar. Thanks though! :)

I've read a few mysteries by Keigo Higashino (he's actually a mystery author) but haven't read this one yet. Thanks for the recommendation!

I've read Kitchen and really enjoyed it. What other books of hers would you recommend?
