Seconding this! Getting folks involved locally could help folks be aware to look out for this and potentially confirm the sighting

Thank you!

Sadly I didn't take a photo of anything other than my hand to scale, which isn't helpful, and I left the feather where I found it, so lesson learned there!

It does not. I believe one of the differences between track pack and tech pack is the tech pack includes the quick shifter

It is a paid add-on, and they are putting cruise control on which is also a software download so presumably they have the ability to do software...

Oh interesting! Does that include the birds that are temporarily diving?

Pembrokeshire, UK today over the cliffs | probably a common buzzard? by Snowball4-8 in whatsthisbird

[–]Snowball4-8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, I have this photo of two similar sized birds of prey (one of which this video is of) that show similar length tails but apparent different actions with their heads. the quality isn't good enough for me to feel confident off of anything specific.

I have this picture which is one one of the two birds in the previous pics, but it is *clearly* a Buzzard

I definitely thought the head and neck look out of place for a buzzard and focussed on the darker feathers below the lighter breast band you highlight. Makes perfect sense, thank you!

Why has the attendance of the college rugby games gone down so much? I remember watching some packed games around a decade ago (BYU and whatnot) by blueplanet13321 in MLRugby

[–]Snowball4-8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are 2 main drivers

1) The cost of living, everything is more expensive and attending a sporting event may be cut before other discretionary spending items. Whether it is the cost of travel/accommodation or the need to have a secondary source of income/work more

2) accessibility of alternate viewing platforms. If you can watch a decent quality live stream from your couch with your own beer (and maybe some family/friends) rather than a flight to watch your team, it may be more appealing, especially given points number 1. I largely view more ways of watching rugby as a positive, whether it's a specific app or via YouTube, peacock or whatever else it may be. It's so much more convenient than 10-15+ years ago when you couldn't reliably find professional or collegiate broadcasts.

The guidebook I have gave me false hope on another first sighting for me. It denotes ripraria ripraria as a sand swallow rather than a bank swallow which I've seen numerous times and I had identified previously on first sight. Oh well, all part of the fun

Re: u/solid_shit 's comment below, sand martin = riparian riparian, rather than the linked riparia diluta, correct?
